We visited Enjoy Eating House and Bar at Stevens Road for a family dinner because a friend highly recommended their Hokkien Mee. We brought a group of six to sample a wide spread of their dishes. Upon arrival, we all registered for their free membership and each received a complimentary welcome canapé. It appeared to be savoury smoked duck mixed with a flavourful sauce inside a crispy Kueh Pie Tee shell ... A very tasty start to our meal! The Starters & Sides: The classic Filial Pie Tee was well-executed, and the Jumbo Kurobuta and Crab Ngoh Hiang was deeply satisfying and packed generously with ingredients. The Har Jeong Kai Wings came out beautifully crispy and packed with umami flavor. We also tried the Hainanese Chicken Satay; the meat was nice and tender, though the peanut satay sauce leaned a bit too thick for our liking and lacked the sharp kick of a traditional hawker-style sauce. The Mains: The highly anticipated Opeh Leaf Hokkien Mee was very good, though some of my family members found the generous amount of pork lard and the intense, concentrated seafood umami from the prawns and lala a bit overwhelming. Chef Joel’s Mee Kia was also tasty; the noodles were a touch softer than my personal preference, but the accompanying BBQ Pork Cheek (which we also ordered as a standalone dish) was excellent; perfectly chewy without being tough, carrying a beautiful smoky aroma. My absolute favourite dish of the entire night was the Hainanese Kurobuta Pork Chop. The pork was incredibly tender and juicy, paired with an absolutely stellar rendition of the traditional sweet-and-sour Hainanese sauce. The Verdict: Enjoy Eating House successfully elevates classic Singaporean street food by utilising high-end ingredients and creative culinary techniques. However, the prices are also heavily elevated, with our final bill coming to $232.61. While the food is undoubtedly good, whether it is truly "worth" the premium markup depends entirely on individual preferences. For us, this is a solid 4-star destination that we would happily revisit, but likely only for special occasions or once in a blue moon.
View on GoogleNice atmosphere. Food is decent but a bit on the pricey side. Will be more affordable if you have the entertainer app. Build your own kueh pie tee is nice, otah is nice. Chilli crab prawns w mantou are not bad. Prawn paste chicken is decent. Hokkien mee and crispy horfun are alright. Chendol is not bad iirc.
View on GoogleHad a really enjoyable dining experience at Enjoy Eating House & Bar. The food was well-executed and full of flavour across the board. The Pad Thai Goong was nicely balanced with a good mix of tangy and savoury notes, complemented by fresh prawns. The garlic fried pork was a standout—crispy, fragrant, and packed with flavour without being overly greasy. We also tried the Chef Joel’s Mee Kia, which was simple yet satisfying and done just right. Overall, a great spot for comforting dishes in a casual setting. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere made it easy to sit back and enjoy the meal. Would definitely return to try more dishes!
View on GoogleFinally checked out Enjoy Eating House & Bar and it did not disappoint. We started with the fried mushrooms which were crispy and addictive, a solid starter. The cod otah was fragrant and well-balanced, definitely one of the better versions I’ve had. The chilli prawn with mantou was the star of the show. Rich, savoury, slightly spicy, and just perfect with the mantou. Ignore the small portion in the photo… we already ate a few before remembering to take it. The pig trotter bee hoon was a bit underwhelming for me. It’s decent but lacks that deep, braised flavour you’d expect. Could be better. On the other hand, the Hainan chicken satay was really good. Juicy, tender, and nicely grilled. The pork cheek was another highlight, very well executed and full of flavour. Beef tenderloin was solid too, cooked well and satisfying. Overall, a really enjoyable meal with a few standout dishes. Would definitely come back, especially for that chilli prawn again.
View on GoogleFood is delicious, ordered a variety to share among 4 adults: Claypot prawn vermicelli, fried Hokkien Mee with seafood, BBQ pork jowl, ugly cabbage with fish sauce, coffee pork ribs (least enjoyable). Desserts were normal: Orh nee (gingko nuts still raw), coconut ice cream, MSW ice cream. Staff were not able to answer or articulate when we asked if Chef Joel is based at this branch or rotate around. We enquired with 2 different service staff and gave up
