Paid $13 for a big bowl of prawn soup with dry noodles, and it was absolutely worth it! The soup was rich and flavourful, and the crispy fried shallots added so much depth and aroma. The dry noodles came with a chilli sauce that tasted like a delicious blend of tomato paste and sambal, it was such a unique combination and worked really well. The bowl was generous too, with pork belly, pork ribs, and four half prawns. I had it on a rainy day, which made it even more comforting and satisfying. Definitely a place I’d return to when I’m craving a hearty bowl of noodles!

Ingredients fresh, natural & tasty.. super like this aspect. Noodles and Beehoon well prepared & go well together. Soup a little salty, for me personally.. Can go easier with less salt, perhaps, this is subjective. However, this maybe preferred by other diners. A traditional prawn noodle meal I will always come back for.

The most PERFECT prawn mee in the world. Truly. The hamsum uncle is just as friendly. The noodles consistently tasty and good value. Small ($8) gets you 2 huge juicy prawns, ribs, and motherlovin crispy lahpok (lard). Ask uncle for some collagen and he happily garnishes your bowl with a bunch of pig skin, for free. Free soup adds too. It used to be $8 10 years ago and is still $8! Can’t complain about value. I hate that his Chinatown venture closed down :( Anyhow, uncle may your beer always be cold and your aircon always the right temperature. Huat ah. I LOVE YOUR MEE. Good balanced prawn and pork broth. Nice chilli mix with ketchup .... some may not like the ketchup but I guess you can ask him to skip that. I ordered the $20 version, comes with 3 large prawns sliced into halves, 3 pieces pork ribs and some pork belly. My favourite place for large prawns noodles ... Better than Adam Road one.

Prawns and pork ribs with noodles in a zesty broth that was outrageously rich and tasty. It's the only thing he serves, and it's excellent. You do get a choice of noodle: rice, wheat, or egg-based.
