Really enjoyed my meal at Tendon Kohaku! The ingredients were fresh, the tempura was perfectly crispy without feeling too oily, and everything paired really well with the sauce. The seafood was fresh and the portion was satisfying too. Simple, comforting, and delicious—definitely a place I’d come back to whenever I’m craving a good bowl of tendon. Highly recommended!

Good food! But the place was a bit warm, and it seems like they’re a bit short-staffed. Poor girl was managing serving, washing the dishes, cashiering, ushering etc. Got their chirashi ochazuke and Torotamadon set, the Torotamadon was good, but Chirashi average…would go for their other Tendon dishes next time.

unfortunately quite a let down for me.. first of all, the restaurant is really warm, even with 1 standing fan it’s quite uncomfortable. there’s only 2 service staff i think, so you have to wait a while and feel bad to disrupt them in their busyness to ask for something. the tempura… ingredients are pretty good, rice portion underneath is small (maybe 3/4 a usual bowl of rice) but worse of all the main star, the tempura, is really not good. tastes heavy, thick batter, and doesn’t feel freshly fried. had high hopes but probably won’t visit again, sorry! chawanmushi is good though.

reasonable prices for wkday lunch sets here. serves fast too so good place to pop by for office workers during lunch break. chirashi bowl's fish cubes are okay, not too fishy. tendon freshly fried and crispy. pretty ok average cant go wrong place.

Crispy, perfectly fried tempura with light batter and great flavor. The tendon set is well-balanced, with fresh ingredients and a delicious sauce that ties everything together. Great value for quality Japanese tempura 👍
