had a late lunch here around 3pm on a monday and unsurprisingly, was the only customer. was glad to see lots of dishes available, and chose the beef rendang, sambal goreng, and egg sambal, and lemak gravy. i have tried many nasi padangs all over singapore, and this has to be up there amongst the very best! it was absolutely delicious, and every dish was full of flavour! many nasi padang stalls or restaurants fall short in terms of flavour of freshness but this was an absolute hit. the beef rendang was absolutely delicious and the star dish, cooked to perfection! i will definitely be back to try the other dishes soon!

Really enjoyed the authentic and delicious selection of curry chicken, fried chicken, beef rendung, fried eggplant, fried fish and the bergedil is so yummy! Their own homemade samval chili is really addictive too! They were very kind to split the chendol into two mini cups for my friend and I to share too! If you are at Clarke Quay, not a bad idea to pop in for a family dinner or cosy dinner with friends in a traditional setting!

As an Indonesian living in Singapore, I approve 😌 Yes, it’s expensive, but considering the location, understandable laah. The place is very clean and comfortable, although it doesn’t quite look as premium as the pricing suggests. What stood out to me was how “clean” the food tastes. Padang food back in Jakarta usually leaves that oily, guilty aftertaste 😂 but this one feels lighter and cleaner, though less punchy too. The curry chicken, chicken korma, and chicken rendang were all really good. Lodeh was amazing too. Egg sambal was a bit too standard for me — would’ve loved if the egg was fried first like in Indonesia, and the sambal had more kick. The ice cendol was so refreshing I didn’t even want to share 😭 Overall, I just wish the flavours, especially the chillis, were stronger. It didn’t fully cure my homesickness, but it definitely scratched the itch.

Authentic fare and their unique taste is in their super thick and delicious gravy. Try the Assam fish head and its nice touch of sour to welt your appetite further:)

great nasi padang lunch here at Rendezvous Restaurant. Fish Head is delightfully spicy with a hint of sour, cooked upon order so takes some time to be served. fish is fresh. Also tried the Spicy Chicken, Mild Spicy Chicken, Sambal Squid, Begadel and Rendang Beef. highly recommend the Beef as the beef chunks are perfectly cooked, juicy and well-flavoured. will be visiting again for more nasi padang.
