Interesting find today—I bought a small bag of baked chestnuts and was delighted with them: soft, sweet, and freshly baked.

Great shop with lovely service! I had a great time browsing here. One of the senior lady staff was genuinely excited to share her favourite snacks. I was hoping to find a hawthorn snack I had tried in China. While they did not carry that exact one, she introduced me to icy hawthorns, a healthier alternative to the usual sugar-coated bing tang hulu. I ended up loving it! Also, do try the red date walnut snack—it is perfect as a light breakfast or a healthy snack on the go.

It is not easy to find the traditional street snack roasted "gao lak" so as I passed this shop, the winter version of chestnuts caught my eye. The servers immediately smiled and offered me one to try...it is heavier in size 🌰 cut for easy peel, nutty and soft. They are popular during holidays in cold countries, brings warmth to my heart in our rainy season

Chestnuts don’t seemed to be freshly toasted, probably just prepackaged then reheated. Fresh or not, taste of the chestnuts are just above average.
