Personal impression: The soup is rich and flavorful with a strong pepper aroma; it really revived me when I was sick, haha. The ribs were tender; I especially liked the cartilage ribs, the chewy texture was very satisfying. The rice was fluffy and quite soft, and there was plenty; I couldn't finish it all by myself. The stir-fried vegetables were fragrant with garlic, cooked just right, not too soft. The staff provided good service. I've eaten at the restaurant across the street before, but the experience wasn't as good as here. I still rate this place higher (everyone's taste is different, so if you have time, try both restaurants!).

2026 July. is one of the (meat bone tea) in Singapore. This branch environment is good and clean. The queue is shorter than song fa just across the road. The tourists will like to queue there outside their shop is so warm. I rather to come over here. Ng Ah Sio the soup taste with more pepper, and meat also soft and tender. both of the shop selling almost the same price slightly on the high side. Soup refill is continues and the refill soup taste as good as the original bowl.

Ng Ah Sio Bak Kut Teh located at Clark Quay Central. 2 Person dine-in, we ordered their promotional set, which is a Bak Kut Teh Soup, 1 choice of side and 1 side of youtiao and a drink. We then topped-up with a side of braised small pig intestine and onsen egg. For the Bak Kut Teh Soup we had to top-up $1 to get the pork ribs option as the first option was already sold out. Totaling $53.36 for 2 persons. The Bak Kut Teh Soup here is thicker and packs a stronger peppery punch compared to that of Song Fa's Bak Kut Teh. The pork ribs here are also denser and meatier. If one prefers a much heavier flavor and denser Bak Kut Teh, then this would be up your alley. For the braised sides we had the peanuts and tofu skin, the side serving size was relatively generous. Taste wise they would be average as the braised sauce base flavor was not a strong savory one. The braised pig intestines were delicious and well done and there were no gaminess or odor and had a nice mouthfeel as it was easy to eat. The braised onsen egg was also boiled well as the egg whites were solid yet soft and the egg yok center was still runny. The braise sauce base for their braised items were of a much lighter flavor profile, compared to what you would expect of most braised food offerings in Singapore. Perhaps this gentle flavor was meant to complement their strongly flavored Bak Kut Teh soup to prevent a clash of savory flavors. The youtiao side was well done as it was served warm, crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside. Compared to when we had their youtiao 2years ago which was neither crispy nor fluffy, it was a huge improvement, and we hope they can maintain this standard. (2 years ago, it was just doughy and chewy) The chili and black sauce as a dip is a must when eating Bak Kut Teh if you can stand the heat, just a small pity they do not serve diced garlic to go with the black sauce chili as most Bak Kut Teh places do. No comments on the drinks as they are as average as it gets. The staff service was decent, but as they tend to be better Mandarin speakers communicating in English may feel a small gap of difference. There is a button on your table which you can use to ring the staff to come assist with what you require or refill your Bak Kut Teh Soup. (Soup refills are free fyi, the meat is not) Having eaten at this outlet a few times here are our recommendations. Due to the lighter braise sauce base, I would skip the pig trotters and shiitake mushroom as they tend to require a stronger braise flavor profile to bring out their texture and taste. The rest of the braised items are ok to try if you are keen. Their homemade Ngoh Hiang was nicely fried and goes well with the sweet sauce. For the veggies, you can skip all of them as they are not flavorful nor unique in any sense. The blanched pork slices soup has a very light taste, and the pork slices are blanched so if you are looking for a lighter flavor profile try that. It's a decent Bak Kut Teh franchise, just like how Song Fa have their fans, so does Ng Ah Sio. Personal Rating Food - 3.3/5 Service - 3.3/5 Atmosphere - 3.5/5 Pricing to above 3 Factors - 3.4/5

The Bak Kut Teh was absolutely delicious! The broth was rich and well-balanced, and the meat was incredibly tender. You can enjoy unlimited broth refills, and we didn't have to wait long for a table. The only downside is that the wet wipes are charged separately.

Great peppery style bak kut teh and braised intestines and trotters. Had to order more rice which goes really well with the soup as well and great service from Bai Cai and Seo Hoon.
