This Japanese buffet place used to be my favorite. Value for money with widespread items. However, I have not visited it for a while and decided to check it out again with my wife a few days back. I was shocked! They have increased their prices. That's ok.... But..... when we started ordering the buffet ala carte items, we noticed that the servings were smaller (see photos) in terms of the sizes as compared to my last visit. Scallop, sishamo, soft shell crab, prawn tempura sizes were really a joke. All looks like miniature toys. Scallops shell like lala shell.... Sishamo like ikan bilis....lol Qualities were also bad. The only saving grace for the entire buffet were the moriawase sashimi. Service staff were attentive n polite. Credit to them. I will not return for sure. Unless I can read some positive reviews from diners.
View on GoogleMy first experience at a sushi buffet. The environment was comfortable and not noisy. The menu was simple and easy to understand, and the prices were reasonable. The fresh food was beautifully presented and looked very appetizing. The sashimi slicing skills seemed quite professional 😁 Most importantly, they were very generous with my favorite sashimi. Every bite was so satisfying. Salmon lovers definitely shouldn’t miss this place, and the ingredients were very fresh too. The staff were polite, and the food was served at a good pace without making me wait too long. It’s definitely a restaurant I would love to visit again 👍👍
View on GoogleMitsuba Japanese Restaurant. Located at level 3 of Clark Quay Central, you can choose a window seating to face the Clark Quay. Relatively noisy. Many tables, configurable for different group sizes from 2 pax to 10 pax. There is a robot delivery cart, but more waitresses who work faster. We ordered ala carte. Portions were generous. Sushi not as fresh as I had in Tokyo when I visited last week.
View on GoogleHad a really satisfying dinner at Mitsuba! For $59.90 SGD, the all-you-can-eat spread is totally worth it especially if you love sashimi. The fish was fresh, thick-cut, and you can keep ordering without feeling limited. The soft shell crab was one of my favorites — perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside, not greasy at all. The unagi dishes were also excellent, with rich sauce and very soft, flavorful eel. There’s a great variety of sushi, sashimi, hot dishes, and grilled items, so it never gets boring. Service was efficient and food arrived quickly even when we ordered a lot. Overall, a fantastic place for gatherings or when you just want to indulge in Japanese food. Definitely worth the price and I would happily come back again.
View on GoogleMy second visit, the first time was many years ago. This time round we had the premium menu buffet. It was a blast. Spammed the foie gras, wagyu steak, crayfish, iberico pork ribs, and the huge prawns. Also from the normal menu, the fried softshell crab, unagi, salmon aburi sushi, sashimi. The quality are as expected from a Japanese restaurant in The Central. Some minor complaints are that the lobster bisque is too watery, and that the premium ice cream(Goma/yuzu/matcha) are not included. If I’m paying the price for the premium menu, the ‘premium’ desserts should be included. Overall had a great time with the family there, and the serving time between orders are also quite speedy. Will definitely visit again.
