We visited Ellenborough market cafe on Easter and had a pleasant dining experience overall. I was actually looking for a last minute Easter lunch and most places were already fully booked so I was glad to find a table here and decided to give it a try. To be honest, I was quite hesitant after reading all of the reviews and even considered going elsewhere but my son who is a real food lover and enjoys variety insisted we give it a chance. In the end we proceeded and I’m glad we did as it really wasn’t as bad as expected. With the credit card promotion, we paid about $46+ per pax after service charge and GST. Considering how costly dining out has become in Singapore, I feel it’s quite decent for the price we paid as long as expectations are managed. The food selection was fairly good, nothing overly fancy but still enjoyable and satisfying. The Easter dessert section was especially cute and nicely presented which added a lovely festive touch. No comment for the dessert because I don’t really touch sweet stuffs and my kids took the lovely plate of cakes and commented it’s not nice 😅😅😅 The rojak, Kuek pie tie, mala whole fish, fresh prawns, Peranakan black sauce chicken, laksa and the durian pengat is really good! We may go in with certain expectations but it may not always reflect the full experience. For this lunch price point, it’s reasonable and shouldn’t be compared to $98–$120 lunch buffets at 5 stars hotels. Overall, a simple and pleasant experience. Thank you to the team for their effort, wishing the business all the best and continued improvement 😊

Came for buffet dinner on a Sunday night and the place was very packed. Nonetheless, the tables were still quite spaced out so we weren’t all cramped up together. Thought that their prawns were fresh and plump, salmon sashimi is decent, kueh pie tees were great, laksa was quite nice as well, and definitely do not miss the durian pengat for durian lovers. Durian flavour was rich and really delicious! Meat-wise my companion thought its decently cooked but we both agree that their meats were underseasoned. Was very excited to try the pan seared foie gras but…. Somewhere it tasted undercooked. Doesn’t melt in your mouth, and this is when it’s just fresh off the pan :/ Service is good too, our servers were attentive and cleared our plates quickly. Got the 50% discount so for that price the experience is quite okay. Just maybe don’t come with high expectations then you’ll be good!

Recently tried the buffet at Ellenborough Market Café after hearing about their 50% discount promotion available daily. With that kind of promotion, it certainly becomes an attractive option for buffet lovers looking for good value in Singapore. One of the highlights on weekends is the unlimited Wagyu beef and foie gras, which definitely adds a premium touch to the buffet lineup. It’s nice being able to go back for multiple servings, and these items are clearly the stars of the spread. That said, while the variety of food is quite extensive, the overall quality wasn’t particularly outstanding. Many of the dishes felt fairly standard, and the experience seems to be more about value for money rather than exceptional food quality. One pleasant surprise was that the restaurant is pet friendly, which is quite uncommon for buffet venues and adds a unique aspect to the dining experience. Another highlight worth mentioning was the service from Maggie, who was very friendly and helpful throughout our meal. Her attentiveness and warm attitude definitely made the dining experience more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a buffet worth considering if you’re looking for variety and good value, especially with the ongoing promotion.

We were here for foie gras and barbecue meats buffet. Overall it is a satisfying experience. Food and live barbecue service were prompt and good. Only downside was the long waiting time at sashimi section.
