I’m quite new to art and don’t know a great deal about the art world, so I didn’t know what to expect when I visited Confluence Art Space. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and enjoyable the experience was. The gallery has a thoughtful collection of Singapore and Asia art, featuring both established and emerging artists, and I found it easy to take my time looking at the works without feeling like I needed to be an expert to appreciate them. The team was friendly and approachable, and I loved how they shared insights about the artworks and artists in a way that was easy to understand. Nothing felt overly formal, daunting, or focused on selling, which made the visit feel much more like an opportunity to explore and learn. For someone like me who is just beginning to develop an interest in art, Confluence Art Space was a great introduction to Singapore’s art scene. I left the gallery feeling more curious and interested in learning about the artists and stories behind the works. Definitely a place I’d recommend to other beginners or anyone who simply wants a relaxed and welcoming way to discover Singapore and Asian art.

Lovely gallery with a really welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. I enjoyed the mix of works on display, especially the focus on Singapore artists and the stories behind each piece. The team was very friendly and happy to share more without making the experience feel overly formal. Definitely a space I would visit again.

Chee Keong is an honest, down-to-earth gallery owner that puts the interests of collectors and artists at the heart of what he does. Step into Confluence Art Space and be greeted with warm hospitality and a free education on fine art over a cup of artisanal tea. I always enjoy my visits to Confluence Art Space, and I never leave the place empty-handed — always taking away something from my interaction with Chee Keong — a painting, new knowledge, or both.

This is a small cosy little gallery located within the Havelock 2 complex along Singapore's busy North Bridge thoroughfare. The owner himself is an artist who is well versed with pioneers in the art scene of Singapore. Visit it if you get the chance, particularly if they are hosting works of older artists.
