Excellent quality Japanese restaurant with some reasonable lunchtime deals (still expect to pay ~$20 per person, but for the quality and for the area it's a good deal). The outside space is nicely spread out and has a beautiful view of the river. Staff were approachable and prompt. One minor disappointment was the special offer on ramen, which was fantastic but they only had enough to make one bowl (we'd ordered two). They were very kind though and explained it was a new menu item. Hopefully it becomes permanent because it was delicious.
View on GoogleIt's been a while since I last had a meal here. Dashimaki tamago is my go to order. The happy hour prosecco was nice but only available after 830pm. The oden and udon were comforting. We stayed till quite late to enjoy supper. The chicken karaage was nice with a hint of ginger.
View on GoogleJapanese food has been gaining popularity over the years. However, to find good restaurants that produce authentic Japanese flavor prepared with fresh ingredients and consistency is rare. This is a typical Japanese restaurant with Japanese chefs. Therefore, I commend this restaurant for being one of the rare ones here. I have visited them several times and I find the need to boast about this restaurant. They serve set meals on top of other ala carte selections. The food here are delicious! There is a good enough selection of wines and sakes to offer. Words would not be able to offer much description of their food nor the genuine taste of Japanese food. You need to pay a visit to savor the reality.
View on GoogleOne of my favorite lunch places as they have a variety of choices for lunch sets. Overall the food here is really authentic and nice. We tried newly added omakase lunch and really love it! Considering the high quality of food and easy accessibility (usually can walk in), it’s a rare fair-priced Japanese restaurant.
View on GoogleServer was very nice and served with a great smile. The tantanmen had a super thick sauce full of flavour, the nori and chashu and egg are also great. The karaage is crispy on the outside, but overall on the softer side. It comes with a nice sweet sauce. Great music too.
