We ordered 2 items, both for 2 pax to share; 1. Sukiyaki Sakura Pork with whisky 2. Unagi Donabe The Sukiyaki although priced much more than the Unagi Donabe.. I think the unagi Donabe is nicer. Loves the Foie Gras that goes with the rice. Not sure why, but the lady only asked us if we want the raw eggs to go with the sukiyaki pot, after we started eating our sukiyaki. Understand that the sukiyaki comes with whisky, but the soup based is really very pathetic.. and no top up allowed. But at least the pork and vegetables quality were decent. Overall, I would say the food is not worth the price. $188 for a Hotpot, but the ingredients re really quite your usual steam pot ingredients. The atmosphere nothing too fantastic either. It’s just like a classroom probably, but set up in dining format. Look for the stairs to get into the restaurant. For the grams to “set” the hotpot on fire, okay la. Once is good enough 😀

A Japanese restaurant focusing on kappo in a more modern way. Fusing traditional and innovative recipes and ingredients, the menu here hits the spot for a casual and cozy share-with-friends kind of meal. The menu overall is still rooted in japanese flavors but with the fusion ingredients and some cooking methods, it makes it much more modern. They serve small appetizers and sharing plates all the way to rice bowls, sukiyaki, pastas, noodles; a la carte style and tasting menus! Overall, i really enjoyed my meal- all the dishes were delicious. The cold somen was so refreshing (yet umami and not oily) and was filled with truffle aroma! Like no joke this place does not hold back: they gave us so much truffle on top (more than michelin restos!) The sando bread was crunchy on the outside but soft and airy inside de super good textures! All the ingredients were fresh and well made i can definitely repeat again for a casual weekday lunch. (One off feeling i had about this place was the service. I went at opening time so the service wasnt busy (luckily) but the staff wasnt so friendly or attentive. I can imagine it can be worst if it is during busy hours 😖)

The ingredients were fresh and one of best sashimi serving I ever had. The shoyu foam was interesting nice to go with the sashimi. The black cod spring roll was nicely presented in taste and texture in my mouth. We also ordered the whisky sukiyaki and again its was pleasing to the eye for entertainment. Hehe but the quality of food is what worth trying too. :) thoughtful chef in creating the menu to such details..

Always an amazing experience at Tamashii. The food is out of this world - incredible quality, innovative dishes, high grade ingredients. The restaurant is beautifully designed (I recommend sitting at the counter to watch the magic happen). Last but not least, the service is simply top notch. Exceptional value given the high quality of the food and service.

I had a 7-course omakase dinner here, priced at over $200 per pax. Food quality in general is decent. The quality of the cooked food far surpassed the sashimi dish, of which 2 out of the 5 sashimi pieces were not fresh. Fried fish and donburi were solid. Service was abysmal, especially by the female staff serving us; who was very rude. I would not recommend going to this establishment for dinner as the quality of the food and service is not worth the price we paid; perhaps go there for their lunch sets since it's cheaper?
