If you are looking for solid Mediterranean and Balkan food along the Clarke Quay stretch, this is a fantastic, dependable spot. Amid the aggressive tourist touting from neighboring establishments, Sahara stands out by offering a much more authentic, relaxed, and less commercially driven atmosphere that focuses entirely on serving quality food. We ordered the ćevapčići, hummus, and ekmek Turkish bread; all of which were excellently prepared and highly flavorful. Washing it all down with a pint of Guinness against the scenic backdrop of the Singapore River made for a perfectly cozy evening of great food and conversations. Highly recommended if you want a soul-satisfying meal away from the usual tourist traps.

Amazing to be in Singapore and able to enjoy authentic ćevapi and burek with a view of Marina Bay Sands - such a great experience! The authentic pršuta and kajmak were also absolutely delicious. I’ve already been here twice during my short trip, and it’s definitely going to be a must-stop every time I’m in Singapore. Highly recommended!

I stopped at this place while I was walking through the Marina Bay. First of all, the customer service was great. The server was friendly and engaging. The food was so tasty and amazing. The meat was delicious and well cooked. Loved the honey tea and the kunafa dessert. Loved the ambience and watching the water and having food was an amazing feeling.. There are tons of restaurants in that street but this particular place caught my eye. Will visit again. ♥️♥️♥️

Sahara Restaurant is a really nice surprise, especially if you’re from the Balkans or just love Balkan food and atmosphere. The food is delicious and feels authentic — great flavors, generous portions, and dishes that actually taste like home. Everything we tried was really well done. What makes the place even more special is the vibe. They play Balkan music, and it instantly creates a warm, lively atmosphere where it’s easy to meet people and feel connected. It honestly feels like a small Balkan gathering right in the middle of Singapore. The location is fantastic, right by the river at Boat Quay, which makes it perfect for a relaxed dinner or a fun evening out with great views. Good food, good music, good people — a truly lovely Balkan spot in an unexpected place.
