Environment is just abit of old school chinese restaurant. Nothing wow, hygieness seem to be decent. Food pricing is consider cheap. Most of the ingredients here are dried seafood, so not expecting high quality dried seafood. But never thought of the noodle is big portion and the sauce are bland so the shrimp chili sauce play a big role here. My set cost 6.50 with tea, soup, dessert. But all of them are just so basic cooking. But can tasted the soup seems to have added a bit of vinegar? And the mushroom also cooked with a vinegar which also help to add on something on the bland taste of the dish. Have the meal at 7+pm, staff is polite and friendly. There is only 1 person working for cashier and also do the "cooking".

We waited more than 30 minutes before checking on our order, only to find out that they couldn’t locate it. I showed them the receipt, and we were told the food would be ready soon. After waiting another 10 minutes, the food still hadn’t arrived. When we asked again, we were told that seating on Level 2 comes with a longer waiting time, which was never mentioned to us earlier. The staff even suggested that we move to Level 1 if we wanted our food served sooner. When the food was finally sent up via the telelift, there was no staff around to serve it, and we had to take the food ourselves. Overall, the service was very disappointing.

Affordable set meals behind boat quay that comes with free-flow tea, soup and a bowl of snow fungus dessert. It's my first time at this outlet which is less accessible than the one at Lucky Plaza. I tried the HK noodle which could do with more flavor although the small saucer of XO sauce elevated the dish. Side dish of seasoned jellyfish was quite palatable. The lady boss was very kind to serve us the tea although it's meant for self serve. Meals will be served to your table. Hence, 4 stars for service. The weather was hot and humid on a Sat afternoon but the interior was cool enough to eat without sweating despite having the hot bowls of bird's nest desserts (no photos taken as they look like ordinary soup). Do not expect the eatery to look like modern cafe or the food will no longer be so affordable with majority of set meals between $6.50-$7.50.

Food has been ok so far (though the portion leaves much to be desired) so it’s my third time here today, bringing along a new colleague to try too. I didn’t get encounter any bad experience the first 2 times but it guess third time’s the charm (not in a good way). Wanted to try something new for lunch so we took a while at the counter while ordering. The staff chided us for taking so long to decide while there was a queue (just 2 pax) behind us waiting, so she asked that we sit down first. When it came to actually placing our order, the dish that my new colleague wanted was not avail anymore for the day. What happened next was a little unbelievable in my opinion - the staff actually laughed at us for taking so long to decide such that the dish was not available anymore! The dishes took a while to come but that was fine. The thing was, we weren’t able to enjoy our meals peacefully. There were instances of the staff scolding the cook loudly in a demeaning and sarcastic tone which I thought wasn’t warranted. The customers weren’t complaining, so why this rude treatment to your cook? To add salt to the wound, one of the reasons why we enjoyed the food here was the chili. When one of the staff noticed that we took a several servings of their chili, she ticked us off and then informed that each pax is limited to 2 servings of chilli only. (We didn’t exceed by the way: 6 servings for the 3 of us) I brought my new colleague here to enjoy nostalgic, comfort food, but sad to say, we all left in much discomfort.

Definitely very affordable with the ingredients used and it comes with rice, dessert and free flow Chinese tea (self service). $5.90 for sea cucumber with some fish maw and ling zhi mushroom set! The $2.25 spinach tofu is very decent too! I can't even sourced with this price at neighborhood. But off course with the price in CBD area, please don't place high expectation on their service.
