Where else in Singapore can you get noodles at $3 a bowl, let alone in city centre? Great place for tourists to try all kinds of local noodles. There are at least seven types including minced meat noodle, fishball noodle, prawn noodle, mee rebus, mee siam, laksa and lor mee. Very old school ambience with lots of black & white photographs depicting Singapore in her yesteryears. Friendly sellers too. Cash only.

I'm so happy whenever I come across a gem of a foodplace, and even happier if the taste is old-school! My son who works in town recommended this place to us and we tried it soon as we were in town. It's like a walk into sleep hollow in downtown CBD, and just looking at the old photos on the walls, and that electric Diamond wall clock, was like taking a time machine back some 40 years to my own childhood. The noodles were done el dente, and their generous use of black vinegar gave out that tangy kick we don't find too often these days. The Laksa was Oo-lala Lemak, and the mee rebus amazing! The best part? 3 bowls of noodles in ample portions, + 1 cup of thick Kopi -si....$9.30! Now in these days of inflation, this is a welcome change!

I like this kind of old school ambience coffee shop. Really yummy noodle with mince pork! $3 only. (Only accept cash) very clean tables too. I will definitely come back if I have the chance.
