The air conditioning was down during our visit, making it uncomfortably warm and humid from the moment we sat down. It would have been great if the team had flagged the AC issue in advance through text, so we could have rescheduled. While the waitress initially seemed hesitant and frustrated to move us to a cooler table, she did accommodate us in the end, and luckily, the rest of the staff were much pleasant. As for the food, it was quite average for the price point. The crab cakes and shrimp risotto were decent, but the steak was chewy and overly sweet. The heat ruined it all. Overall, given the atmosphere and food quality, it wasn't worth the price tag. We spent $190+ (crab cakes, shrimp risotto, ribeye, asparagus), no alcohol. Would not recommend.
View on GoogleHad a really great meal here! Everything we ordered was delicious, but my favourites were definitely the stuffed chicken wings, the Spanish octopus tentacles with the nam jim dressing, the pimentón pork secreto, and the Muscat grape sorbet to end the meal. The service was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. You can tell the team really cares about what they do. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu!
View on GoogleWe came during lunch and decided to order the set lunch, along with a few extra sides—and it turned out to be a delightful dining experience. Set Lunch 🥢 Sides • Crab Toast– A must-try! Crispy, rich, and packed with flavour that bursts in your mouth. • Strawberry Salad – Light, refreshing, and a perfect palate cleanser with every bite. 🍽️ Mains • Golden Crab Risotto with Shoyu Ikura – Beautifully presented with rich, well-balanced flavours. Definitely a standout dish. • Butter Broth Spaghetti with Black Tiger Shrimps – The butter broth was unique, comforting, and full of flavour. The only small comment would be the “texture” of the black tiger shrimps, which wasn't quite to my preference. 🍨 Desserts • Rum & Raisin • Salted Caramel Both were a lovely way to end the meal—smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet. Extra sides ordered • 🦪 Oyster - The Japanese oysters were fresh, sweet, and absolutely delicious. • Ember Cheesecake - Rich, Creamy and smooth. • Ice Latte ✨ Service & Atmosphere The staff were warm, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. The ambience was elegant yet comfortable, making it a wonderful place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, or simply enjoy a quality meal with family and friends. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch experience. Great food, wonderful service, and a lovely atmosphere—we'll definitely be back.
View on GoogleI had dinner here tonight after seeing so many great reviews. At first, I came mainly because the place looked beautiful and had such a nice atmosphere. I honestly expected the food to be just average, but it turned out to be far better than I imagined. Everything was delicious, and the staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive throughout the meal. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the quality and the location. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a great dining experience!
View on GoogleHad a really memorable dining experience at Ember. Easily one of the more underrated fine dining restaurants in Singapore with a great balance between modern European cuisine and Asian influences. Every dish felt thoughtful and well executed without being overly complicated. Ingredients were fresh, flavours were balanced, and plating was elegant while still feeling approachable. The seafood dishes especially stood out, and the desserts were surprisingly memorable as well. Service was polished, attentive, and warm throughout the meal. The staff explained each course confidently without making the experience feel too formal or intimidating. The ambience was also intimate and comfortable, making it perfect for date nights, anniversary dinners, or business meals in the CBD area. Special shoutout to the female host (whose name i can't recall). If you’re looking for a refined restaurant in Singapore with excellent tasting menus and quality service, Ember is definitely worth visiting.
