Had a fantastic dinner at this Boat Quay gem! The drinks are incredibly well-mixed and budget-friendly (around $20–$25 for two), making it a great spot to unwind by the river. The food was the real standout—their Japanese menu features wagyu and sashimi that taste genuinely authentic. They have a fantastic variety of high-quality meals, platters, and drinks at very affordable prices, plus there’s no GST! The service was absolutely commendable, and a huge shoutout to June for being so welcoming and assisting us throughout our dinner. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful evening at The Dark Horse last Saturday. With one for one drinks and simple but appropriate paring options, my wife and I enjoyed the quiet of the early evening. After our friends arrived, we moved on to the food. Amazing. Just ask June or any of the staff at The Dark Horse. They will recommend. And they even have their own special fried rice dishes too! The Dark Horse has a few more gems - the balcony that faces Boat Quay and we were lucky to get to see the practice fireworks!! There are stairs leading up to a cozy and yet personalized space just above the actual bar. With a television and all. Perfect for a private chat, small offsite meeting or even to do your work away from the bustling mob of Raffles Place. Loved the experience!!

The oysters were very fresh, the food came out quickly, and the staff were friendly. Overall, a very pleasant experience! Recommend 🥰

Had a wonderful experience at Dark Horse! All the staff were warm and attentive, especially Amy and Chinchin who made us feel very welcome. Even the owner took the time to visit each table for a friendly chat, which added a personal and charming touch to the experience. The food was delicious with a nice presentation, every dish was spot on. Definitely a must visit place. Looking forward to coming back :)
