Located along Hongkong Street, brwd / KINN (Hongkong St) is an under-the-radar spot that you would want to gatekeep. Housed within KINN Habitat, this cosy coffee counter has a calm, intentional vibe, making it the perfect spot to pop by for a slow reset in the middle of a busy day. I dropped by to check out their new Balanced Indulgence menu, and I like how it stays true to its name with familiar flavours, but reworked into something lighter, more feel-good, without losing that indulgent edge. Starting with the drinks! The EspresSODA ($6.50) was a refreshing surprise. Bold in-house espresso meets sparkling soda, rounded off with honey and a slice of orange. It’s bright, fizzy, slightly bittersweet, and honestly quite sophisticated. The citrus note lifts the whole drink, making it super refreshing in our heat. The Matcha Coconut Dream ($6.50) leaned gentler. Coconut water topped with a light matcha foam which makes it hydrating and easy to drink, though the matcha itself is quite subtle. Now onto the coconut yoghurt cups, which are the stars of this menu. The Blue Pea Bliss ($7.50) is as pretty as it gets with that soft blue hue with seaside and beach vibes. Texture-wise, it’s thick, creamy, slightly tangy with a mousse-like consistency, paired with crunchy granola for contrast. But my personal favourite? The Coco Choco Delight ($8.50)! THIS ONE IS SERIOUSLY SO GOOD! The chocolate coconut yoghurt is rich, thick, and velvety, almost like a chocolate mousse but lighter. Deep cocoa flavours balanced with that subtle coconut tang, topped generously with granola for crunch. It feels indulgent, but not overly heavy. I would 100% come back just for this. For something savoury, the Avo & Hummus Croissant ($10.50) delivers a wholesome bite. Flaky croissant layered with creamy hummus and fresh avocado, with a bit of texture from granola. It is simple, nourishing, and satisfying. What I appreciate most about brwd / KINN is how intentional everything feels. From in-house roasted beans to these wellness-forward creations, it’s indulgence without the guilt and something that you can enjoy any time of the day. If you’re around CBD, this is a solid little hideout for coffee, light bites, and a moment to just slow down.
View on GoogleReally worth travelling for their aesthetic if your nearby the vicinity. We had their iced coffee; [1] the Sunkissed Brew (signature), and a hot [2] matcha. The coffee had a really nice balance of sweet and bitter, honestly felt like a perfect blend and very easy to drink. One thing to note is that if you only purchase drinks, you’re only allowed to sit on the ground level (limited seatings), so just keep that in mind when visiting. The café is actually part of a boutique hotel, which makes the whole concept feel quite unique and elevated. The design layout is beautiful and very Instagram-worthy, with cosy warm lighting that makes it a great spot to hang out, chat, and chill with friends. — Sunkissed Brew ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hot Matcha ⭐⭐⭐⭐
View on Googlei stopped by for a quick caffeine fix before my morning flight. it was only about a 5 minute walk from where i stayed, so i decided to grab an iced white and honestly, it was really good! the coffee was strong and bold, just the perfect kick to start the day. the place had such a nice, chill vibe even for a short visit. i noticed many glasses filled with strawberry jam, so next time i'll definitely try their matcha strawberry.. it looks really good!
View on Googleenjoyed my experience here so much ⭐️ who would have thought that a cafe in the lobby of a hotel would serve up such amazing drinks & pastries!!! hidden gem if i could say... 🤣🫣 > strawberry matcha 🍓: can never go wrong! a dreamy delightful pink combo that places itself so well in the trend 🥇 > matcha sunrise 🍊: mind-blowing good!! orange juice + straight matcha; had no expectations for this but it topped the charts for me :") so refreshing and got me searching up my own recipe for this 😛 > matcha dream 🍋: light, citrusy yuzu base with fluffy matcha cloud foam. wasn't my top pick bc of individual preference against foam drinks but my friends raved about it! must try if you want something light and refreshing to go :) > matcha butter croissant 🥐: freshly baked, paired with made-to-order matcha butter. flaky, not too oily, bitter-sweet and super satisfying for us! please please PLEASE get if you are an og matcha lover 😎 trust me on this you won't go wrong overall review: mainly a takeaway joint with limited seating, but if you snag a spot, it's sure to be a lovely little hideaway from the CBD heat. ps. they've got another outlet at Keong Saik Road too (KINN Studios) ☺️ 🔖 Full review up at @breadboidiaries on IG — drop by to have a look and say hi! 👋🏽✨
View on GoogleCute space but no tables in the lobby(?) area. I also had their matcha kaya croissant, which is delicious. Oat flat white is also good.
