The beef is really good here. Portion size is a little on the smaller side. Service is ok but quite flexible. Price is on the higher side but worth the money. Walk in possible on a weekday evening. Ambiance is conducive for socializing but may get rather hot due to the stove. Parking is plenty just across the road.
View on GoogleI feel totally obliged to share this with our foodie community. We ordered 2 expensive meat platter plus another steak cut. Both platters cut below are poor except the steak cut which is OK. For the price, it’s totally not up to expectations. I have been eating K-BBQ and J-BBQ for years with even hands on BBQ myself. That said, the “owner” is quite nice to explain how to cook in detail with passion. That’s the only comforting part to our dinner. I hope they can improve and review their meat cut before serving the customers.
View on GoogleWent to the Boat Quay last Saturday. The food is good. Atmosphere is okay. The service half way through the dinner was pretty bad. As the restaurant gets busy, I had to ask for green tea refills for more than 3 times and more than 15 mins. And guess what? The green tea was not refill at all. Feeling frustrated, I told my friends we should head elsewhere for drinks. While paying for the bill, I feedback to the staff about the service (Green tea was not refilled at all upon request). She take it like a pinch of salt as though she heard about this often. Please improve on your staff service.
View on GoogleI liked the casual space and happy hour beer offering. Wonderful views of boat quay and Marina. As to the food, the vegetables platter was incredible. Beautifully designed and yum. The meat was good however I was missing something simple that goes along well with a beer. Grilled beef cubes as an example. We had a few baos (dumplings) which came closest to what we were looking for. It's fairly pricy however considering the food quality and view I'll be back for sure.
View on GoogleExcellent meat quality, nice staff. Most of the non-yakiniku dishes (ramen/salads) are very light on the palate, they compliment the fat-rich meats very well. I recommend no more than 2 meat dishes per person. Even though the meat portions looks small, they are rich in marbling and best enjoyed in moderation.
