Good variety of ingredients selection, most are relatively fresh looking. YGF this is one of the few mala places that offers fatty beef shabu slices, a draw for beef lovers. The seafood ingredients are alright, although some do look a tad stale. Enjoyed their signature mala beef broth. My bowl of mala tang first arrived with the amount of soup looking a little sad... To my surprise, a male server came by mid-meal and asked if we would like our soup refilled? Oh certainly, much appreciated! 😃 Now that I know soup refill is possible, I'll be happy to return again next time.

The meats and vegetables are fresh, and there is a good variety of items to choose from. The taste is okay. We paid around 50 SGD for two people. However, the vegetables were overcooked and lost their crispy texture 🤣. The noodles were also overcooked and had no proper texture at all. Mala tang is NOT just about boiling everything and mixing it with sauce. The texture of each ingredient should be considered when serving the food. Customer service was minimal. We ordered quite a lot for two people, so the bowl was filled to the top and difficult to mix with the mala sauce. When I asked for an extra bowl, the staff did not seem happy to provide it, which was a bit disappointing. To be honest, neglecting the texture of the ingredients makes it feel like they just boil everything and mix it with sauce, rather than actually serving mala tang.

Mala tang was delicious and all the ingredients were well-stocked! I also loved that the staff warmly said 'Xiexie (thank you)' when I returned my tray.

The best mala meal you will find in Singapore?! Without a doubt this spicy outlet is #1. The selection is awesome, the service is efficient and quick…. It has to be because this outlet is extremely popular and very busy! Come early to avoid waiting (too long). The 50% discount added an extra star to the existing 5 star rating.

Beside Mala Tang , You can select Tom yum or chicken collagen soup . I got the collagen soup it was rather thick, I selected my vegetables , meat balls , fried bean skin, chicken and pork belly . Pretty surprised they slightly pan fry fish before putting it in soup . It tasted pretty yummy but price is quite steep , spent $21 plus for one bowl. You can make your sauce using sesame sauce , coriander , chili , garlic etc
