A lovely, relaxing non-commercial private musuem + artist workshops/studios under the ITI collective right in the middle of town next to the residential Mt Emily Park. Recommend to check the website for information on their free guided tours to understand the art collections/ collecting principles.

This is actually publicly accessible gallery space in a well restored 1860s building. I visited as part of Singapore Art Week and really enjoyed the Human Being Human Exhibition of works from this private collection. I found it easy to get to and just a short walk from the MRT,

Fantastic exhibition of paintings from Mr. Chua Mia Tee & late Mdm. Lee Boon Nga in conjunction with SG60 celebration. I found a shortcut to get to the hilltop where The Private Museum is located. Turn right to a flight of stairs with signboard indicating direction to "PATS". at Wilkie Road. This will lead the way to the hilltop. The private museum is a former mansion called Osborne House

Although it was pretty far away from public transport and I had to hike a bit to get there, it was totally worth it. The artworks are very thought provoking and I would highly recommend for you to go there. There was no wait time and no need to book.

The current exhibition at this venue didn't quite appeal to me, but the history of the house, spanning from the 1800s to the present, was fascinating. The toilets were also notably impressive. However, the location is a bit of a drawback, as it's quite a distance from any public transport and requires a hike up a small hill to reach this otherwise gorgeous house. Additionally, there aren't any amenities around, so be sure to bring some water to keep yourself hydrated. Though the museum does offer some light refreshments in exchange for a donation.
