Their Facebook page always pop up whenever I opened my Facebook app. I finally booked and went there for our sister’s birthday celebration and we definitely were not disappointed. We enjoyed the food which was fresh and of high quality. The beef for Yakiniku was so soft and juicy. When we told them it was my sister’s birthday, they serve her a piece of tofu cheesecake. The service by Nan was good, she offered to help us do the barbecuing. I appreciate her attentiveness. The only setback was that the Midland house step to the restaurant entrance was very high and my sister who has a lumbar operation had difficulty going up the step. However, we have feedback to the restaurant on this and hope that in the near future, they can provide a removable step for customers who need it.

I highly recommend the yakiniku meal at Tengoku Yakiniku. I visited during lunchtime and was impressed by the attentive service. The restaurant felt a little cold at first, but once the charcoal grill arrived, the ambience became perfectly comfortable. The meats were juicy and tender, the hot tea was refillable, and the staff even offered a salad top-up. The kimchi portion was generous too. Overall, a satisfying and well-balanced meal worth returning for.

Overall a great dining experience largely due to the excellent service of our waitress - so friendly, attentive, gentle & respectful. A5 wagyu was pricey but melt in the mouth buttery, karubi prime short rib was a big disappointment though - so tough we couldn't bite it and the waitress had to cut it for us!! Chef's homemade kimchi is absolutely delicious & perfectly balanced. We enjoyed the seafood tower a lot, served with the perfect chilli. Prawns could afford to be fresher and bigger, 1 or 2 clams had sand. The star of the night was hands down the porridge at the end. Broth that had been prepared for 8hours beforehand was so incredibly sweet and umami, you feel like you can eat it forever! Went on a weekday night and we had the place to ourselves. It was quiet, but didn't like their choice of music. Will be back for the seafood tower and to try the other dishes.

Lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The quality of beef, pork and chicken (not in photos) are pretty decent. Oyakodon too soggy at the bottom for my liking. Sake Tengoku, their specialty that is sake infused seafood platter consists of Lala, prawns and scallops, then the broth made into Okayu (Japanese porridge) and served. The broth is very good, decided to takeaway the unused broth and use it later at home. Service by Violet is really rock solid, please keep it up.

Nice place, nice food. Besides, Nan’s had make us feel welcome and bring up the bday atmosphere despite I smell a strong substance in the air that really turn off or probably because we were the first customer on that afternoon. 🤭 We be back again, for the food especially their dessert and hope it still tasty and staff is as friendly as Nan.
