What a lovely time we had today. Chanced upon this cosy cafe while looking about for vegetarian food. Food was fabulous, service was excellent and the atmosphere was so chilled out. Will be back to try out more dishes ! Had mutton soup, Tom yum noodles and carrot cake today :)
View on Google⭐ 1/5 I visited Seva Cafe today at 12:25 PM expecting a decent meal, but what I experienced was very disappointing — both in service and food quality. There were only 4 tables ahead of me when I arrived, yet I still had to wait 2 minutes just to be attended at the ordering counter. I ordered the chicken rice, but before I could even mention my drink, the young staff walked away. I had to call her back to add an Ayataka soft drink. I paid via PayNow and confirmed if I needed to self-collect the drink — she said it would be served together with the food and estimated a 25-minute wait. Fair enough, I thought. By 12:55 PM (30 minutes later), my Ayataka finally arrived. At this point, I noticed that several tables who came after me had already been served their Mee Goreng, Nasi Padang, and Hokkien Mee. My chicken rice only arrived at 1:05 PM — a full 40 minutes after ordering. The food was a major letdown. The rice was soggy and wet with almost no aroma. The vegetarian chicken was extremely dry and tough — very difficult to chew, especially unsuitable for elderly people. There was no special taste to it at all. I tried the chili sauce hoping to salvage the meal, but it was equally disappointing and tasted like it hadn't even been properly prepared or tested by the chef. This is not about busy periods — the cafe was not crowded. It seems like a serious lack of kitchen organisation and coordination. I remember this place used to be run by guys in the past, but now it looks like a new owner with all young girls working, and unfortunately, the inexperience shows clearly. My honest advice: To customers: Only come when the restaurant is empty if you want your food served in reasonable time. To the management: Please reduce the number of menu items, organise your kitchen properly, train your staff to serve with warmth and care, and at minimum, have the courtesy to apologise for long waiting times instead of showing attitude. Very disappointed. I wanted to support a local place, but this experience will make me think twice about returning.
View on GoogleAbsolutely delicious. We had the Nasi Lemak burger, Satay to share and Char Kway Teow and loved every bite. The price was really fair and a very short wait. I wish I could wipe my memory and eat it again for the first time, because it was sooo good. The peanut sauce with the Satay was absolutely perfect. 10/10 would eat again
View on GoogleMy friends and I decided to give Seva a try today and we were very impressed by both the food and the impeccable service. We ordered the Satay, Laksa, Prata, and CKT. Everything was absolutely delicious and such a treat for me since it was all the plant based versions of local dishes that I miss because I live in Australia. The portions were also big and very very reasonably priced. I was actually quite shocked at how good the value for money was. I have to also add a special mention for the staff member who served us. It was the lovely Indian man with tattoos, he was kind, attentive, and just a wonderful person to deal with. Always had a smile on his face and went out of his way to give us the best experience. I will definitely be visiting again and highly recommend Seva if you’re looking for delicious Vegan local delights. 🌱
View on GoogleFood portion is on the generous side. Briyani, char kway teow and laksa are all quite good and are all served warm. Small seating space. Can give it a try if you are looking for vegetarian food.
