Good social enterprise but I had a negative experience here. The sign said 2 veg 1 meat $2 (u.p $2.70) for concession card holders, which I had. However after choosing the dishes and when paying, I was told it doesn't apply to me, as I need to show the card BEFORE I order the dishes, and dishes for concession card holders are 'fixed', and elsewhere also like that. I know that was not true as the outlet near my house that i sometimes buy from lets me choose the dishes, and I pay the concession price when I show the card AFTER. Also, what if I didn't like the dishes that they chose? Its not about the money, but principle. 70c is not a big deal. Worst of all is the way the auntie said it. Abit rude plus she mentioned a bunch of irrelevant rubbish that doesn't make sense. Don't get me wrong, this social enterprise, which has other outlets, is still commendable. But this stalls policy is really bizarre. Never heard such a ridiculous policy before. Tbh there wasn't much dishes left to choose when I ordered, and I didn't really fancy the dishes I had no choice but to take, but I thought, 'hey, it's just $2'. Had I known this stall had their weird policy, I would have ordered something from another stall.

If ask for pricing of each item that is chosen to buy, the person may get worked up and will get annoyed and grumpy. Not to ask too much. This store serves a potpurri of cooked food. However, each serving will be miserly. I feel like short change when patronizing it. Have avoided it. There are regulars from those living nearby. I think they understand the tempermental

Always eat here for lunch. The food tastes really good. Usually 2 veg and 1 meat costs $3. It’s so cheap, I really don’t understand the person who always argues about few cents.

i share a similar experience to the previous person who reviewed this stall. ordered a few dishes, confirming first with the stallowner if eligble. she said any meat is eligible except chicken drumstick. so i ordered the pig trotter. upon paying, she suddenly said it wasnt eligible for ntuc discount. she refused to honor her word so i did not want to pay. she went into a rage, spewed a list of hokien expletives and threatened to call the police. such a joke. i didnt take the food. what basis does she have to report police. morevoer, she was the one who told me wrongly in the first place. had i known i would have ordered other dishes. she even sent her stall assistant to harass me after leaving the stall. the assistant threatened to track me down and make me pay the price for it. crazy woman who is rude to the core and has a terribly warped sense of entitlement. avoid at all cost.
