Red Apple Veggie Café offers a pleasant and relaxed vegetarian dining experience, particularly on a Saturday morning when the restaurant feels clean, peaceful, and unhurried. The ordering process is modern and convenient, with a self-service kiosk that provides clear menu descriptions and images, making it easy for first-time visitors to navigate the selection and decide what to order. For my visit, I settled on a dry noodle dish and a serving of pan-fried dumplings. The dry noodles arrived looking presentable and featured fresh, crunchy vegetables that added a satisfying texture. While the ingredients were undoubtedly fresh, the overall flavour leaned slightly bland for my preference, largely due to the modest portion of mock minced meat, which left the dish lacking some depth and richness. The true highlight, however, was the pan-fried dumplings. Beautifully executed, they were lightly crisp and golden on the outside while remaining juicy and flavourful on the inside. Remarkably, despite being completely meat-free, they delivered a level of satisfaction that rivalled and perhaps even surpassed many traditional meat dumplings. They were easily the star of the meal and reason enough for a return visit. Overall, the dining experience was enjoyable, with a comfortable atmosphere and fresh ingredients throughout. A small tip for visitors: the building’s Level 1 can become quite crowded with tourists and locals heading to nearby breakfast spots, particularly Ya Kun Kaya Toast. If possible, take an alternative route to the café for a smoother and more pleasant arrival. For me, the noodles were average, but the pan-fried dumplings were exceptional and absolutely worth coming back for.
View on GoogleDropped by Red Apple Veggie Cafe today and it was really crowded. Decided to give it a try and waited about 10–15 minutes before getting a seat. We tried the sambal petai fried rice and really liked it — the rice was nicely separated (粒粒分明) and the petai was good. Also ordered the char kway teow, which had a nice wok hei. For sides, we had the veggie tempura — it had long beans and sweet potato fried in batter. It was crispy and the sauce paired really well with it. The golden mushroom satay was slightly on the tougher side, but still not bad overall. It was a really enjoyable meal. Will be back to try more dishes!
View on GoogleHad a wonderful dining experience at Red Apple Vegetarian @ Fortune Centre. The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and full of flavor. There was a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and everything we ordered was satisfying and well-seasoned. The restaurant has a very pleasant ambience, complemented by soothing background music that creates a relaxing and comfortable dining atmosphere. It's a great place to enjoy a peaceful meal while taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. The portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and the service was friendly and efficient. I especially appreciate how the dishes are both tasty and wholesome. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality vegetarian food in a cozy and welcoming environment. Will definitely be back again!
View on GoogleHokkien mee lacks the usual wok hey and umami, maybe because it's vegetarian version. The sambal banana leaf fish surprised me with the banan leaf fragrant. The lime juice added a acidic taste which balance out the spiciness. Recommended to try out of the other vegetarian restaurants in Fortune Centre.
View on GoogleWe had dinner at Red Apple Veggie Cafe on 27 December and ordered one plate each of sambal fish with rice, Mee Goreng, and a plate of rojak to share, along with three glasses of lime juice. The lime juice is a must-try — very refreshing and well-balanced. The rojak was also excellent and definitely worth ordering. The sambal fish with rice was satisfying and flavourful. Overall, the food was good, with the only small drawback being the Mee Goreng, which we found a little on the wet side for our preference. The environment was comfortable, making it a pleasant place for a casual meal.
