This is one of the busy roast meat stall if u are in Waterloo Street area. A lot of pple will come to patronize this stall. PHV drivers, Temple devotees, Nearby office/ mall workers etc… Their volume of biz is significant. And they operate early morning till dinner. All the meats are roasted on-site. They offers steam soups too. If u like roast meats with lots & lots of dark sweet sauces… this is the place. I personally don’t prefer all these dark sweet sauces…So I had the roast pork noodles. Their noodles is springy and not lump together. Roast meat is nice. But not mind blowing.
View on GoogleReview of New Rong Liang Ge (Opposite Bugis Plus Mall) New Rong Liang Ge is a true haven for roast meat lovers. Their Roast Duck, Char Siew (honey roast pork), and Roast Pork are among the best in town — juicy, flavorful, and perfectly roasted to perfection. In addition to these classics, the shop also offers less common roasted Chinese sausages, which have gained popularity among meat enthusiasts. It’s no surprise that the shop draws a hungry crowd, with people queuing up to secure their favorite roasts. If you’re around the area, this is one spot you definitely shouldn’t miss! Honestly I would think it would work better if you buy a whole duck and add other roasters along with it. I always go for a 3 meats set consisting of roast duck char Siew and roast pork. It all works out perfectly well for me however I felt it was coated with too much sauce and they always seem to combine with less roast duck.
View on GoogleMany customers seem to come to this stall specifically, and it’s no surprise why. Recommended by my colleague, who has been a loyal patron since her childhood, this stall is now into its 4th generation (she says) of serving satisfied customers. For a very reasonable price of $51.50, we got a spread meant for 4 people: duck, roast meat, vegetables, 4 soups, and 3 portions of rice. While the roast meat was a bit too fatty for my taste, I know some might appreciate that. Interestingly, my colleague mentioned that it wasn’t as fatty during her last visit, and she actually preferred it that way. The duck, on the other hand, was more tender this time compared to her previous visit. There’s some inconsistency, but the crowd keeps coming back for a reason. The soup was an excellent value for money. At just $3, it was packed with ingredients. I had the pig stomach soup, which was generously peppery with a substantial amount of pig stomach and large chunks of pork. Definitely a satisfying bowl!
View on GoogleHaven’t had this for years, so I decided to come back for their roasted pork and char siew rice. This stall is well known for its signature super-black sauce, which really sets it apart from other roasted meat stalls. At only $4.50 per plate, it’s definitely value for money. The flavour is quite different from elsewhere, with a deep, smoky roasted fragrance that you can smell the moment it’s served. Unfortunately, the rice was a bit too wet today, so I didn’t enjoy it as much this time round. That said, it’s still one of the more popular stalls in the area. Seating is hard to find, especially in the non-air-conditioned coffee shop, partly because there’s also another famous stall there — the scissors curry rice.
View on Google200g of char siew for 10bucks. I wont say it's as worth it as people claim. There's this funk/alcoholic aroma to the char siu. Bite is very good for this price, they're using the correct cut Ckn soup is avg
