Half of d ytf r local processed items - luncheon meat, seaweed chicken, enoki mushroom. Picked d unique ones. Taste not bad. Fish paste is good. Pricey. $1 per pcs. 6 pcs with rice $6. 6 pcs with noodles $8. Hakka noodles taste good but portion is very small. Ytf will be deep fried. Hot teh $2.80. Usual. Total $11.80, a v pricey ytf. Marked them down for service coz staff left counter to discuss work at table, leaving my food to wait at d kitchen window. When I gestured to him that my order is ready, he frowned at me -.- V quiet during off-peak.

🍜 Their Hakka Noodles had a nice springy bite and a savoury, dark soy-based flavour — though the taste became a little one-dimensional after a while. Their house-made chilli, however, added a welcome kick and brought more depth and flavour to the noodles. The highlight was the Yong Tau Foo, especially the Sha Kok (yam bean fritters) — bouncy, chewy and not something you commonly find here. All other fried fritters were surprisingly light and non-greasy, with no oily aftertaste. And that clear soup was light, comforting and slightly peppery. Simple, hearty and satisfying — definitely a taste of comfort food 😋 ☆ #ipohbuntongteahouse #ipohyongtaufu #hakkanoodles #nationaldesigncentre #middleroad

The hakka yong tau fu looks a lot like other YTF establishment. The ingredients are nice and they fry the fried ingredients separately. But the chilli is sour type which I do not fancy, sweet sauce looks artificial and the soup is blend. However, the ipoh hor fun soup noodles tastes great. The tea tastes like powdered type, which I consider unacceptable. Overall price is expected but I think is reasonable.

I had such a lovely meal here! If you’re craving a classic Yong Tau Foo set, this place really delivers. Everything felt so comforting and delicious! The Fried Goodies: The assorted fried pieces were the star of the show! 🌟 The stuffed eggplant was beautifully caramelized, and the fried bean curd skin was so light and crispy. You can tell they put a lot of heart into the stuffing! The Noodles: I loved the dry-tossed yellow noodles. They were coated in a wonderful dark sauce and topped with savory minced meat—such a classic, nostalgic flavor. 😋 The Soup: The clear broth was so light and refreshing, with plenty of fresh leafy greens to balance out the fried items. It felt like a warm hug in a bowl! 🍃 The Drink: To top it all off, a chilled iced tea served in a fun glass. It was the perfect way to cool down! Overall: Such a solid, happy lunch experience. I left feeling full and very content! Highly recommend if you’re in the area! 🤌✨

We revisited with friends, and the quality of the Hakka YTF remains just as good as our first visit. The homemade YTF still tastes fresh and delicious, maintaining the same authentic flavors. This time, we also tried the soup version of the YTF. Unlike most soup YTF in Singapore, the broth is naturally milky white without tasting like milk, making it light, comforting, and enjoyable. The Malaysian-style Curry Chee Cheong Fun is still tasty. The curry seemed lighter in consistency compared to our first visit, but it remained flavorful and paired well with the silky smooth chee cheong fun. One area that needs improvement is cleanliness. The serving tray we received was not properly dried or cleaned and had a noticeable rotten food smell throughout our meal, which affected the overall dining experience. Hopefully, the restaurant pays more attention to this, as the food quality continues to be excellent. The food here tastes just like what I had in Malaysia—authentic and full of flavor! The Ipoh White Coffee is excellent, the Ayam Berempah in Nasi Lemak is huge with juicy marinated chicken, and the coconut fragrance in rice. The Hakka YTF selection is homemade and delicious, especially the Sweet Turnip with Fish Paste. The Malaysian-style Curry Chee Cheong Fun is soft, slurpy, and rich with curry, topped with crispy pork skin. Everything tastes authentic, and the Hakka Mien is perfect to soak up the flavors. Highly recommended for anyone craving true Malaysian cuisine in Singapore!
