Nestled inside a busy Albert Centre Market and Food Centre, this corner stall serves delicious Vietnamese sandwiches. I tried their STIR FRIED BEEF BANH MI. The baguette is crispy and warm when served. A bite will make you want for more. The juicy and tender beef slices with pickles and assortment of veggies and herbs makes every bite of this sandwich satisfying. I also tried the GRILLED PORK ROLL in skewers, that is packed with flavour from herbs and spices. I will make it a point that once I'm in the area I will try their different sandwiches. I paired with a bottle of an ice cold beer, and there goes a perfect way to end the day.
View on GoogleThe banh mi won't wow you, but it is solid and affordable. Summer rolls are simple with prawn and rice noodles wrapped in lettuce, served with a thin fish sauce and chilli padi for dipping, just nice for a light bite. (The same stall at Maxwell gives peanut sauce and has basil in the rolls but it's $6 instead of $5.50)
View on GoogleDisclaimer, I was having dinner at 8.30pm. This I give them a benefit of the doubt. Foodand ingredients a little cold. Some of the Bun(noodles) are still hard. My guess is not soaked at some corners of the bun. I notice more people buying the baguette. Probably safer choice if you order here.
View on GoogleBright and clean stall front with all the different banh mi filling options displayed. Ordered their grilled chicken banh mi at $6.50. While the filling was sufficient, something in it tasted a little off. Unfortunately, didn't really enjoy it.
View on GoogleLocated in Albert Court Food Centre, this Vietnamese stall appears fairly authentic. Bought the pork chop rice for $7.50. Well marinated pork chop with a generous portion of rice. It came with egg, cucumber and onion and carrot slices However, I did feel that the serving of pork was rather small for the relatively expensive price.
