Wallet friendly. Nice food. And super love the vibes here. I will travel here again just for the nasi lemak. Cai png many dishes to choose too. Clean taste. Curry zup self service.

This absolute gem offers what must be the best food for its price. I had Kayan Butter Toast with eggs and drinks for just under 5 SGD. The owner is really nice too, helping us through our language barrier.

Happen to be here on casual walk. I can see that this place is quite popular. However the char kway teow is too salty for me. What surprised me was that it came with a sizeable piece of deep fried bean curd skin which was unfortunately not well done - it's not crispy and was soft, and I ended having to struggle to consume it in one go because it just don't break off.

Just happen to drop by this place as a friend recommended that there is a decent Nasi Lemak place at Park Lane Shopping Center. Was pleasantly surprised they offered brown rice as an option, and my friend’s recommended add-on otah is pretty legit. I will definitely come back again for this as it was a simple yet filling meal!

This eatery has become an institution for those of us who frequent the Selegie Road area with any regularity. Even today, it’s one of a small handful of eateries in the city centre where you can find honest zichar for $5. While several counter staff hail from mainland China, the food is decidedly no-frills local and freshly prepared on the spot. Prawns are fresh, not frozen; tea actually tastes like tea without being diluted to the power of oblivion; iced lemon tea is flavoured with … well … lemons. Other tasty options include their Fried Hor Fun, Chinese-style Mee Goreng and Fish Soup. Expect a queue for takeaways on top of dine-ins during lunch. There’s quite a lot more room for dinner and during off-peak hours, especially with a few additional shop lots acquired over the last decade or two.
