1. There was a huge cockroach in my room. I went out to inform the lady on the counter but I received no apology or reassurance. She only asked if I’d taken photo proof of the cockroach and if I wanted to switch rooms to which I agreed to. While switching rooms, I said “Just give me a room with no cockroaches” to which she replied “Hopefully”. No guarantees of pest control or reassurance of further action taken. Just a “Hopefully” as if cockroaches are a common occurrence. 2. The room is super small with no space to walk at all, as it is a hostel type hotel (toilets are public and shared). This was completely different to how it’s advertised on websites and google photos. 3. The size of our bedsheets did not fit the mattress so the bedsheets kept coming off, revealing the stained and brown mattress underneath. Moreover, strands of hair were found in my room. 4. The only plus point is the hot water and good water pressure in the public washroom. However, there were mouldy spots all over the walls and behind the mirror, as well as small dead bugs and alive ones flying around.
View on GoogleThe hotel and rooms only look good in photos. The booking app offers a room with ensuite and decent amenities, but when we got there we got something that was more like a backpackers accomodation. The room was dirty, the pillows smelt, the door lock was broken, the room smelt of humidity, and the security was minimum. You could hear people coming and going through the corridor. The toilets were shared toilets and they were dirty. For the price that we paid which was over $1500, this is a ripoff. We paid for a hotel room and got a hostel room. The receptionist said that the mixup was website’s fault. They did nothing to help, but they did ask for $100 deposit for towels and for the control in the room. Then she added that if paid by card, it will take 3 mths to refund the money. We paid cash to avoid that. Then, we just checked out and booked a different hotel. Honestly, if I could give them no star, I would. My advise is DO NOT BOOK. The area is shabby and the people look shady.
View on GoogleThe rooms do NOT match the images on their site or on any booking engine site. A hostel double bed is a stodgy mattress on the floor. An ensuite hostel room didn't have an ensuite. They said the bond will be held for 2--3 months! for a 1-2 night stay. Pretty sure that's illegal and I've disputed it as fraud. Dank, dirty, worn down, smelly, mattresses are thinly covered spring with no comfort. Wiring in room is questionable. Reception staff were not bilingual as promoted. 24/7 reception is useless if they have no authority to do anything after hours.
View on GoogleThe only plus side is near Rochor MRT. Other than that, everything is just bad. Anything you imagine that a hotel should’t have, this place probably has. 100 SGD security is required, which no place I’ve been requires. You better bring extra cash for this, credit refund will be 1-2 months. False advertisement (actual room not like the picture) Worn down, smelly spring-type mattress that offers no comfortable. Pillow has red stains covered by pillowcase. The air is smelly, heavy, gives an immediate unsanitary condtion. Housekeeping is only be done upon request. They only do it after 17:00 (5pm). The timing already tells the problem Overall, unsanitary, neighbor feels insecure if you go alone at night. Not recommended
View on GoogleThis place is honestly pretty good, considering the price is low compared to other hotels in Singapore. The pool is a big advantage, and although our room was a little old looking and worn out, it was clean and big enough for two people. The receptionists were also very friendly, and the laundry is free to use. I think that most of these bad reviews are probably from the hostel rooms, not individual rooms. Another plus was that the hotel was surprisingly quiet, we didn’t have any noise from surrounding bars or anything during the night, and the bed was comfy.
