friend bought 3pax lunch @ the black sheep cafe, Norris road food was quite good. the lamb shank very nicely done, well braised, soft and moist. the pork was the best dish, very tasty. duck confit ok standard, competent, a bit dry on the inside. Camembert salad was very good and the dessert banana pancake with salted caramel ice cream was very good. 21.4.2026
View on GoogleMade a dinner reservation on Friday the 8th of May for my son's birthday as I heard the last day of operations will be on the 15th. Just simple but elevated and delicious French classics from the heart of a talented chef. Totally loved the baked brie salad, comforting onion soup (one of the best ever) and lip smacking foie gras. All of us enjoyed our mains too, the lamb shank and wagyu beef cheeks were so succulent and tender. The veggie penne also had thick cuts of fresh mushroom that were yummy. Will definitely miss the pandan souffle here — a dessert highlight. Was fortunate to meet chef Ratha before the peak dinner service and wish him all the best for the future. Also thank you to Deeti (sorry if I misspelled your name), your service throughout the evening was warm and exceptional. We will miss this charming little cafe!
View on GoogleWe had their signatures which is cheeky pork crispy on one side and soft on the others, duck confit which is crispy on the outside yet not tough when you eat it. We also have their soufflé which was very soft and matched perfectly with the ice cream. The staff and the owner were very helpful and attentive to us helping us all throughout with the steps that we need to navigate with the wheelchair. I would highly recommend others to try this restaurant worth it to make a trip there.
View on GoogleWow! Other than the wait and the slightly mismatched interior, the chef’s cooking was excellent 🤩. I learned that he previously worked at Raffles Hotel Singapore and trained with top chefs from France many years ago. It was quite 😎 to finally try this place after walking past it a few times. It looked empty the first couple of times I passed by, but I’m glad I came back. You really should give this restaurant a try. The food is high-end yet reasonably priced. The décor could use a little help to keep the look consistent, and you do need to be patient while the chef prepares each plate. Everything tasted fresh, and I especially enjoyed their pandan soufflé. 👍🏽👍🏽
View on GoogleShared a delicious onion soup as part of three course set with my wife. For mains she had a duck confit which she was pleased with as it was not too fatty. I had ala carte main of lamb shank, that I really enjoyed. Washed down with a very affordable (for Singapore) bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. The dessert as part of set was also shared and was the star a wonderful pandas soufflé. Very reasonable pricing for the meal.
