I had a great meal here. Its a cozy eatery so booking is advisable. Their menu selection is small and it's all about their cuts of meat. The maître d shows up the available cuts..u choose and they will cook for u. I had a lovely 300g striploin while my date had a petite 150g tenderloin cooked to our desired temperature. The steak comes as is. Sides are an extra charge. Fries are great. The beef tartar was good but the choice of wonton chips with the tartare is not so. A crisp baguette would've been better. But overall food was great. I suggest u come during their promotions or on ur special occasion. They usually throw a little something for free. We were served profiteroles for our special occasion. We also came during August and we topped up $0.61 to have an extra 170g cut of meat. So the trip was definitely worth it.

This was our 5th visit and Salai Singapore never disappoints. The food is consistently amazing, which is why we keep coming back. This time we ordered the Japanese A5 Wagyu, and it was absolutely incredible. The richness of the wagyu paired with the sweet and tangy onions was a perfect combination that elevated every bite. The mac and cheese deserves a special mention too. It was rich, creamy, and one of the best we’ve had. We got Lemon Meringue Tart for dessert and it was a burst of flavours. What really makes this place stand out is the owner, who always takes the time to interact with customers and make everyone feel welcome. That personal touch, combined with consistently excellent food, is what keeps us coming back. Always have been, and always will be, returning customers. Highly recommended!

Such a satisfying meal, prompt service and worth every penny. The Angus buffet is worth for those who love meat. The meat is perfectly cooked with consistency despite 3x refill. Love the combi of the salad with blue cheese too. The staff offered free dessert as well. We were lucky that we managed to get a seat for 2 despite no reservations. However, for bigger groups, definitely recommend making reservations due to the limited space. The only room for improvement would be for the fries. It was quite salty and would be good if can opt for baked potatoes/sweet potatoes. Thank you team for the warm hospitality and generiosity. May your business continue to prosper.

Went for the Unlimited Steak & Fries. Service was quick and generally attentive. The space is small but still comfortable. Plating is very pleasing. At $35, price is reasonable, but I honestly wouldn’t return. Our first serving arrived completely cold. If you’re expecting a traditional steak experience, you’ll likely be disappointed. There was no Maillard browning or crust, and the meat lacked any seared flavour. Tasted more like a roast or large sous vide cut sliced for serving rather than steaks. Although the meat looked tender, texture was surprisingly chewy - prepare for a jaw workout. FYI You do not get to choose your preferred level of doneness. Saving grace is the pepper sauce which was delicious. The fries tasted stale eventho we saw they were kept in a warmer. Even the “fresh” batch wasn’t particularly good, seems more like they were oven-baked or air-fried rather than freshly deep-fried. I appreciate that they serve a house drink with the steak, but the flavour personally was not for me- very heavy on rosemary

Had the lamb ribs and steak — both were really well done. The steak was cooked nicely, tender and juicy, while the lamb ribs were flavorful and satisfying without being too heavy. Presentation was great too. The staff were also very attentive and helpful throughout the dining experience, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Overall, great food, good service, and a nice atmosphere. Would definitely come back again!
