Went to Azmi Restaurant for dinner on a Friday night around 7:30pm. Their highly recommended chapati is made fresh right behind the ordering counter, so you can see them being prepared. We had 2 chapatis each, paired with the butter chicken and mutton masala. Both were really good! The butter chicken had a nice mix of sweet and spicy flavours, while the mutton masala had a deeper, more smoky flavour. The chapati itself was also really good, not too crispy, but soft and tender. Definitely a 10/10 for me and would recommend! Would definitely come again. Funny thing was, when we first arrived there were so many seats available, but by the time we were eating, the place was completely full house! 😆
View on GoogleHad a great meal at Azmi Restaurant Chapati! I was pleasantly surprised by the recent renovation — the place now looks much cleaner, brighter, and more comfortable to dine in. The improved environment definitely makes the whole experience even better. And of course, the highlight is the chapati. It was damn nice — soft, fresh, and perfectly cooked, especially when paired with the delicious curry. You can really taste the quality and consistency that keeps people coming back. To make it even better, I had it with teh tarik, and that combination was just perfect. A hot, fluffy chapati together with a smooth, frothy teh tarik is hard to beat! If you’re a chapati lover, Azmi Restaurant Chapati is definitely worth visiting. Clean new look, tasty food, and an authentic local experience. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely come back again for the chapati and teh tarik combo!!
View on GoogleIt must be a Malaysian or Singaporean thing. Chapati always tastes better with Sambal Sardine. I wanted to have a light dinner. So stopped by Azmi Restaurant on my way back home. Simple setup with chapati as the main star with a lot of curries and side dishes that you can pair with. They also had briyani and other dishes. Chapatis were soft, not oily and had 2 layers, not the usual thin flat piece. Paired well with the sardine sambal. Usually mutton keema is said to be the best with chapati but I stuck to my craving for sambal sardine. Overall food was tasty. Only reason I did not give 5 star rating is because my number one choice for sambal sardine would always be my wife’s 😍
View on GoogleDefinitely my go-to for chapati and flavourful mutton curry. My parents love the warm chapati and has made this their weekly must eat.
View on GoogleProbably one of the only freshly made chapati in Singapore. Old school, and paired with mutton keema. This is authentic old school and none pretentious food! Chapati has beautiful dough taste and mutton keema has generous portions of meat in it. I used my hands to tear the chapati and used the spoon and fork to dunk it in the mutton keema. That mix will make you forget your life worries for a few moment.
