A traditional Fuzhou eatery serving up delicious noodles with generous amounts of pork lard, among other dishes. Had the Fuzhou Combination on my first visit, and it was delicious enough to entice me for a second visit when I was in the area. The Foo Chow Special I tried was delicious as well. Both dishes are served with a number of different ingredients, so you get variety at a reasonable price!

Foo Chow special meal (set meal) Home taste noodle with Char Siew, slices of chicken and some veg. Fish Ball Yen Pi mee soup Foo chow fishball soft and slightly chewy, filled with savory, juicy pork center. Yen pi is filled with minced meat and chestnut. Garlic Sliced Pork Ramen Comforting noodle soup. Fried fish fillet Crispy exterior and a soft, flaky, moist interior served with chilli sauce Shop house restaurant with seating capacity around 20 pax. Service and food was good. No service charge

The 红糟鸡麵线 is one of the best in Singapore. The meat and fish ball soup is fine but no wow factor. Maybe it was the weather, the whole shop can get stuffy although the small aircon was on.

My family has bought their foochow fishballs home often, & it has always been good & delicious. But dining in & having the 福州三鲜面 Foo Chow Combination ($6), I was pretty disappointed. The noodles were way too salty that I struggled to finish it. The soup & ingredients were infinitely better - the right amount of tasty that isn't an overwhelming flavour bomb... & it comforts you. Will still continue to buy frozen fishballs home, but I'll probably just stick to their soupy stuff if ever I dine in again.

Unlike the frequent scenario of "standard dropping" with a lot of food these days, I find that Seow Choon Hua fuzhou fishballs are now even better than they used to be! The bouncy texture is better than ever. Simply a delightful bowl from start to finish!
