Tried PerghChicks thrice and honestly I was excited for ayam gepuk, only for me to be served with hard/dried rice and rice crust. The mentaiko fries was nice though. Other than the waiting time and the quality of the rice, everything was alright!

Tried Ayam Gepuk at PerghChick for the first time. The chicken was tender and juicy, which I really enjoyed. However, it would have been much better if it was served piping hot. I went for Chilli Hot Level 3 and it’s definitely not for the faint-hearted. The spice level is intense and packs a real punch, especially if you’re not used to very spicy food. Plus point: you can request extra chilli and white rice for free, which is great if you love the sambal or need something to balance the heat.

The food is great, very tasty. But my rice wasn't shaped like the other's order. Don't know what's that mean, but if it's the part of the SOP, they have to do it anyway. Teh Tarik is so good 🤌

Saw this place on TikTok and decided to come try it. The food looked really amazing in the videos, and in person it was still pretty good. Portions were a bit smaller than expected compared to what I saw online, but the taste was decent and enjoyable. I visited PerghChicks at around 7:00 p.m. during the breaking of fast period, and I understand that it was a particularly busy time with a high volume of customers. Firstly, I would like to say that the food itself was enjoyable. The flavours were rich and satisfying, and the dishes were clearly prepared with care. Overall, the taste met my expectations and made the meal worth it. In terms of service, the cashier did inform us in advance that there were quite a number of customers ahead and that our food would likely only be served after 7:30 p.m., which I appreciated as it helped manage expectations. Given the peak period, a slight delay is completely understandable. However, I did observe that the waiting time extended beyond what was expected. Our food was only received at around 7:59 p.m., and during the wait, it seemed that orders before us were still being fulfilled at a slower pace. While I understand that the team may be prioritising serving food hot and fresh, the overall process felt a bit slow. Perhaps the restaurant could consider some form of contingency planning during peak periods such as breaking fast. For example, partial pre-preparation or a more streamlined system might help manage the surge in orders while still maintaining food quality. That said, I recognise that handling such a large crowd is not easy, and the staff were doing their best under pressure.
