Reasonably priced cai fan in town. Four of us ordered, and only the plate with squid was more expensive. I had braised pork belly, fried omelette, bean curd, and spinach, along with a bowl of lotus soup and kopi o kosong. I paid $10.90. The braised pork belly is soft, tender, and flavorful. The bean curd is not sour, unlike some other stalls where it can be. The omelette egg has a higher ratio of egg to water, and the spinach is well-cooked. Lotus soup is flavorful.
View on GoogleIn an old mall, the mall itself nothing much but this is a gem. I forgot to take photo of food, but this is really home cook taste. Ordered cai fan with yong tau foo, spinach, steam egg and lotus root soup. Portion is generous, barley drink is definitely home made and not sweet (good)
View on GoogleDecent economical rice, flavours are homely just like what other reviewers have said. I was slightly disappointed with the sweet and sour fish as there was more batter than meat, so I won’t recommend ordering this. The aunty serving me was friendly.
View on GoogleThis shop is a hidden gem, quietly tucked away from the busy street. The food has that warm, homely taste — simple dishes with soup, and brown rice option, that somehow always hit the spot. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve come back. When I’m spoilt for choice in this area, I still end up here again. Something about it just draws me back — maybe the nostalgia, maybe the peace. It’s small, a little worn, but that’s what makes it real. You’ll see all kinds of people here — office folks, uncles, this my hideout - once saw two billionaires in singlets having kopi like it’s just another day. No pretence, no fuss, just good food that does its job. This place reminds me why I love Singapore food culture — humble, familiar, and quietly special. Always feels like home. Thanks auntie
View on GoogleA gem of a economy rice stall situated in a cosy corner within L2 of Golden Landmark mall along North Bridge Road, just a couple of minutes walk from Bugis MRT. Very serene environment, clean and spacious. Pretty chill as well as it it indoors with air conditioning from the mall. They serve homely and traditional economical rice and noodles. Good spread of dishes with great taste. Not much salt and oil used. Lady boss is very cheerful and friendly - always recommending new dishes to myself. Breakfast, dim sum, snacks, and soups are also available to go along with the meal. Prices are super affordable! Lunch crowd is still manageable. Try to believe! :)
