Tried the dry prawn noodles here recently. The place has a really nice atmosphere and seemed to be packed the whole time I was there, so it's clearly a popular spot. They were generous with the prawns, which I appreciated, and the presentation was good. Personally, though, I found the overall flavour a little underwhelming and was expecting a bit more punch from the seasoning. It could just be my own taste preferences, so your experience may differ. Overall, it's a pleasant place to dine with a good ambience and generous portions, but the dry noodles didn't quite hit the mark for me flavour-wise.
View on GoogleThe standard of the five-spice roll has dropped compared to what I remember, which was a little disappointing. I also tried the small bowl of prawn noodles ($7). It was good, comforting food, though not particularly mind-blowing or memorable. One thing I really appreciated was that they gladly gave me extra soup when I asked. I also enjoyed their homemade barley drink ($1.80), which was refreshing and complemented the meal well. Overall, it’s a decent spot if you’re looking for a simple, comforting meal
View on GoogleAlthough the soup was flavourful, personally I find it salty. Prawns are cut in half so it’s easier to remove the meat. Each table has an empty bowl for you to throw away the shell. Thoughtful. They have a personnel guiding customers in for seats.
View on GoogleOrdered medium sized prawn&pork ribs noodle which is $9.8 (Cash or PayNow QR Scan only). It comes out really fast in 2 minutes. Flavor is good but doesn’t really taste any of bisque or prawn flavor. It’s more like beef broth noodles w/o beef. Noodles were mixed with white rice noodles and yellow ones. *FYI: Better gets a small size if you’re planning to get some dessert after
View on GoogleThis place is always bustling and packed with tourists. Although it’s quite spacious with plenty of tables, you’ll still need to queue for a seat and then join another line to order food. The prawn noodles were decent—the broth was rich with prawn flavour, with a well-balanced blend of sweetness, savouriness, and a hint of spice. Definitely worth giving it a try.
