THE BEST!!! THE BEST!!! THE BEST!!! Was in SG recently for a 5-day trip and we had big short coffee every single day. Pulut Hitam Amazake was the best!! I had it for 4 out of 5 days. It tasted unique but also familiar because of the coconut. It’s exactly what I want in my coconut coffee. If only I could pack it in my bag to bring home haha!! So, so good. big short coffee is now a must-visit when I’m back in Singapore. 💖 ps: the beach road branch is more spacious than joo chiat’s. more seating as well.
View on GoogleCame by Big Short Coffee on a Sunday morning and it was completely packed! The Good: The Drinks & Experience: We ordered the Mont Blanc and absolutely loved it. They don't just serve you a coffee—they deliver it like a full, curated experience. The quality of the coffee itself is genuinely top-notch. Fun Vibe: It happened to be their 2nd anniversary celebration when we visited, so we got to take some free photos at their photobooth, which was a nice extra touch! Things to Keep in Mind: Limited Space: The shop has very little seating, and they don't serve any food. When you're paying a premium price for coffee, not being able to find a spot to sit back and enjoy it is a bit of a downer. Price & Seating: The drinks are definitely on the pricier side, so be prepared for boutique coffee prices. Final Verdict: I wouldn't recommend coming here with a large group due to the cozy size. It’s best as a solo visit or a date spot for two people who truly appreciate a unique, high-quality drink experience. Will definitely come back for the drinks!
View on GoogleA Hidden Gem for Coffee Lovers in Beach Road Big Short Coffee was one of the most pleasant coffee discoveries for a coffee crawl. Tucked away in a beautifully designed shophouse setting near Beach Road, the café manages to strike the perfect balance between specialty coffee, thoughtful design, and a relaxed neighborhood vibe. The space itself deserves a mention. The minimalist interior, warm peach-toned walls, soft globe lighting, curved architectural details, and adorable mascot branding create a calm and inviting atmosphere. Despite being relatively compact, it feels airy, modern, and intentionally designed. It’s the kind of café where you could easily spend an hour enjoying your coffee and soaking in the ambience. Seating can be a problem honestly. We tried three drinks: ☕ Hot White A very well-executed classic. Smooth, balanced, and expertly textured milk with a rich espresso base. No unnecessary gimmicks—just a genuinely good cup of coffee that showcases the quality of their beans and roasting. 🌰 Mont Blanc The standout drink of the visit. Beautifully presented and layered with flavors that felt both indulgent and refined. The creamy, nutty notes complemented the coffee exceptionally well, creating a dessert-like experience without becoming overly sweet. Every sip felt thoughtfully crafted. 🪷 Lily Pad Perhaps the most unique drink we tried here. Refreshing, creative, and unlike anything you’ll find at most specialty coffee shops. It demonstrated the café’s willingness to experiment while still keeping the coffee at the center of the experience. The staff were friendly and patient despite the steady flow of customers. The café was clearly popular, with a constant queue forming throughout our visit, which is always a good sign. Even with the crowd, service remained efficient and welcoming. Mont Blanc is a must must try. If you’re exploring the Beach Road area and appreciate specialty coffee, Big Short Coffee is well worth a visit. Come for the aesthetics, stay for the coffee—and make sure the Mont Blanc is on your order. It was easily one of the most memorable coffee drinks we had in Singapore.
View on Googlemy absolute favourite coffee spot! i frequent the joo chiat outlet and was so pleased when they opened one here. amazing baristas, great seasonal coffee (rotates every 3 months!), and even better environment. highly highly recommend giving them a visit if you’re in the area x
View on GoogleBest and the only place that truly spends their time and effort into creating very unique, fresh and amazing coffee-mocktail kinda drinks!!!!! There’s an option for all coffee and non-coffee lovers including for the kids (babycino). All made very efficiently and fresh right in front of you! Nothing is ever boring and their menu changes each season!!!! PLEASEEEEE try this out, worth every buck. Been going back ever since their first launch 2 years ago. Promise it’s worth it.
