Striking, futuristic space, full mirrored interior with an all-tap brew bar, and even the filter coffee comes through taps rather than a manual pourover. Genuinely novel concept. Tried the Myanmar (Arakan Mountains, Catimor, Magway) for $6, great value for a specialty filter. It was fruity and acidic with a clear pear note and a light nutty edge, tracking closely with the flavour card on the wall. The cup was very consistent, though it didn’t have the shift you get from a hand-poured filter as it cools — reads more like a well-tuned machine output than something a barista shaped in the moment, which makes sense given the format. Only tried the one filter, so can’t speak to the rest of the menu (Kenya and Colombia options also on tap), but worth a visit for the design, value, and the novelty of the concept alone.

Tried the gula melaka latte and banana cloud americano and they were both rly good!! The gula melaka syrup added a subtle flavour without overpowering the coffee. The banana foam on the americano was mindblowingly good 🤯 esp if you're a banana lover. I genuinely enjoyed it. I'd recommend all to give it a try 😋

Unique experience to try automated tapped coffee & matcha. It gave such a pleasant vibe. For those who dont really like grassy or umami taste of matcha might love their matcha. It’s not too strong & more on milky side. So I feel it suitable for beginner. Taste good anyways so yeah. Lovee!

2050 Café has already been around for a year, and I can’t believe I didn’t notice it earlier it’s just 50m away from me! The coffee here is excellent, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more. For some background, 2050 is originally from Kyoto and now has a home in Singapore. The staff are super chill, which makes the whole experience even better. On my first visit, I had just finished a heavy lunch and wanted something sweet to balance it out. I went for the Matcha, and the server kindly explained that it’s sweeter than the regular matcha latte perfect for that moment. Next time, I’ll be back for their coffee for sure.
