Second time coming to plump frenchman, this time with my family. We were served by Saktia (sorry if I spelled it wrongly!) who was very warm and friendly. Had a pleasant experience dining in for dinner :) The anchovies and chocolate mousse (must get) were my favourites! We also ordered a half chicken and french onion soup (though it was saltier & more sour than I expected). The staff were very friendly and warm and we got to try the espresso martini made by Alex (thank you ◡̈) which was interesting and worth a try!

Hi, I’d like to provide some feedback regarding the fish dish we had today. When we raised with the staff that the fish had a noticeably strong and unpleasant fishy smell, we were told that the restaurant does not use live fish and that the fishy smell was due to the sauce being a seafood reduction. They offered two slices of lemon to mask the smell We would like to clarify that we were never expecting the restaurant to use live fish. Our concern was the freshness and quality of the fish that was served. While we understand that a seafood reduction can naturally have a seafood aroma, that does not address the fact that the fish itself had a pronounced fishy smell, which made the dish unpleasant to eat. We appreciate that fish will naturally have some smell, but we believe that serving fish of an appropriate level of freshness and quality should be a basic expectation. Thankfully desserts were great! Thank you.

Made a same day dinner reservation and was pleasantly surprised at the restaurant’s prompt response to take on our reservation in record time. Arrived with my elderly parents and Param was very thoughtful to make immediate adjustments to cater to the accessibility needs to a regular table instead of the high table initially reserved for us. All the staff were very attentive and accommodating to our queries on the menu and provided good recommendations for our dinner party. The hospitality was unmatched and unparalleled as we were never left unattended to at any point in time. Food and drinks were very delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by all at the dinner party. Serving portions were very generous, would highly recommend to do sharing plates to enjoy the variety that the menu offers. Staff was well informed of the menu and ingredient list as we had one member who had dietary restrictions. Sathiya was extremely attentive, ensuring that we had an enjoyable experience throughout the night and he had a keen eye for detail and he had a very thoughtful and intentional service oriented mindset which was a lovely and great touch to the entire evening! Thank you to all the staff for a great 1st time experience, we will definitely be back! 100% agreed by all of the dinner party. 10/10 would highly recommend!! 💯

Had a lovely dining experience at The Plump Frenchman. The food was absolutely sumptuous! Every dish was beautifully prepared, flavorful, and satisfying. The Demi Poulet was wonderfully roasted, juicy, and comforting. But the star of the evening for us was definitely the Côtes de Porc ! It was incredibly tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The Chipirons was another delightful surprise, packed with flavor and beautifully presented. Paired with great drinks, it made for a truly enjoyable meal. What made the experience even better was the excellent service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, creating such a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
