Grilled Surume Ika We saw a lot of people ordering this, so we decided to give it a try. The squid wasn’t dry at all—it still had a bit of moisture, which made the texture tender instead of rubbery. It was easy to chew and overall really enjoyable. Flavour-wise, it was simple and nicely done. Enoki Mushroom with Garlic Sauce This was really good. The garlic paired perfectly with the enoki mushrooms and brought out a strong umami flavour. The garlic definitely stood out and elevated the whole dish. Spicy Drypot Pork Intestine Surprisingly good. The intestines were juicy, tender, and cooked really well—they still retained moisture and weren’t overly chewy. Despite the name, the spice level was quite mild, so it’s still manageable even if you’re not great with spicy food. Garlic Fried Rice Probably the best dish of the night. It may look like a simple fried rice, but the garlic flavour really stands out and ties everything together nicely. It’s not too heavy, so some people might find it a bit light on flavour, but for me, it was just right. Kirin Frozen Beer (Apple & Grape) Tried both apple and grape flavours. The grape leaned more towards the sweeter side, which wasn’t really my preference since I prefer something more bitter. The apple was better for me—nicely balanced between sweet and slightly bitter. TLDR: - Food was amazing - Service was alright - Ambience has a nice izakaya vibe Overall: 8/10 Would come back again 👍
View on GoogleFood has a great variety, and everything we tried was delicious! Perfect for group gatherings and a fun night out. You can even sing karaoke upstairs! The fruity beers were especially refreshing and so good.
View on GoogleFound this place while looking for a late-night bite and it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere is cozy and buzzing. The standout for me was the pork belly and the grilled eggplant. Pricing is reasonable for the area, and the service is surprisingly fast even when it's crowded. Great spot for supper and a chilled-out drink.
View on GoogleTook seats on the 2nd floor. Food was tasty, there was even a happy hour on a Saturday (think it was to order before 8pm). 9 pm onwards there's an open karaoke (starbox). Singers were not bad. It was an open and friendly environment. It was free entertainment for my fiend and I.
View on GoogleHad dinner at Taan Asian Grill Bar along Liang Seah Street with my SO and god sis 🍢🔥 First thing we noticed — the whole stretch of Liang Seah Street is now fenced up to stop vehicles from entering, allowing restaurants to extend their tables onto the street. Makes the whole area feel more vibrant and lively for dinner gatherings. We went all out and ordered: • Beef Skewers in Chinese Spice • Beef Skewers (Original) • Chicken Midwing Skewers • Shishamo Skewers in Spiced Salt • Enoki Mushroom with Garlic Sauce • Chong Qing Mouth Watering Chicken • Spicy Chicken Cubes • Spicy Pork Intestine • And a few cans of Wang Lao Ji to cool down 😆 Most of the dishes were extra 麻 (numbing) and 辣 (spicy) — which explains why we ended up drinking 4 cans of herbal tea. Definitely a mala feast night. Personally, I loved the Spicy Chicken Cubes the most. They were fried until almost like pork lard — crispy, aromatic, and super addictive. If you’re a mala lover, this place is worth checking out. Good food, spicy kick, and even better company with two lovely ladies ❤️ Hashtags: #TaanAsianGrillBar #LiangSeahStreet #MalaLovers #ChineseSkewers #ChongQingFlavours #SpicyFood #麻辣 #SGFoodies #FoodieSG #SupperSpots #DinnerInSG #StreetDining
