Came here with some mainland friends for a taste of traditional Singapore chicken rice. This wasn’t the usual recommendation from Little Red Note, so it was interesting to try somewhere a little different. The (non bonesless) chicken was wonderfully tender and succulent, and my friends really enjoyed it. The sweet potato leaves with sambal were another highlight — well-seasoned, fragrant and went especially well with the chicken and rice. We also tried the crispy fried pork, which had a nice crunchy coating and tender meat inside. Overall, a satisfying meal with generous portions and some good old-school flavours. A nice place to bring friends who want to explore beyond the more commonly recommended food spots.

Great tasting tender steam chicken. Done perfectly. Love the grinded green ginger n also the chilli was great too. Lady boss was friendly n offered the ginger n soup. Very kind lady. Definitely will come back for the yummy tender chicken. Strongly recommended

The rice was alright but the provided sauces made it excellent. Chicken was tasty, but arrived rather lukewarm so it was cold by the middle of meal. The sides (braised eggplant and Thai-style tofu) were solid as well — the eggplant felt a little undercooked (although maybe that's my personal preference) and the tofu was excellently done. Last of all, the Milo was fantastic: chocolatey with little separation or diluted taste.

Avoid! Served chicken that appeared undercooked, with red fluid coming from the meat. When I raised the issue, the restaurant refused a refund and showed little interest in investigating. Poor customer service and an unpleasant experience. Considering Singapore normally has quite high food standards this is definitely not a place to eat. I would avoid all costs unless she wants salmonella.

I think the rating is underated. Love this local place. We have come here (for years) everytime we are in Singapore (Raffles area). The food are great as always. Clean and friendly. The price is still very reasonable.
