Inspired by famous Bangkok street food, Soi 19 Thai Wanton Mee has a strong appeal to many Singaporeans who have visited Bangkok and tried the local wanton mee.

Personally I liked this different version of our localised wanton mee especially with the sweet Thai fish sausages inside. For my wife it was nothing special compared to what’s available in Bangkok. The spring rolls were not that nice as they were not fried crispy enough. Verdict, eat there if you need to but not as a destination

SOI19 Thai Wanton Mee @ Raffles Hospital — First Try, Mixed Feelings Been hearing about SOI19’s Thai Wanton Mee floating around the Raffles Hospital crowd, so I figured it was time to give it a shot. First impressions? Let’s just say it didn’t quite land for me. The noodles came out soft — and not in a good way. I’m firmly in the springy-noodle camp, so the lack of that satisfying bounce and bite was a letdown right from the first mouthful. A good wanton mee lives and dies by its noodle texture, and this one needed a lot more work in that department. Then there’s the char siew. It looked… undercooked? The colour was there, but it had that half-done look that made me second-guess every bite. Char siew should be lacquered, slightly caramelised, and confident. This wasn’t any of those things. To be fair, it was my first visit, so maybe I caught it on an off day. But first impressions are everything — and this one didn’t leave me rushing back. Verdict: The concept is interesting, but the execution needs tightening. Fix the noodle texture and sort out the char siew, and there might be something here.

Was craving for a bowl of wanton mee soup when I chanced upon this eatery. Soup broth is a little salty but flavourful. It's not as greasy as it seems. I m not a fan of pork lard but I tried 2 small bits n was pleasantly surprised - they r crispy even though they r soaked in soup! d wanton in d soup is meh but d deep fried wantons r served hot n crispy! Staff speaks clearly n politely. I will want to be back again.

Solid bowl of Thai Wonton Mee!” The noodles had a great springy texture and were perfectly coated in that dark, savory sauce. Loved the generous toppings—especially the crispy fried wontons, char siew, and the extra kick from the chili flakes and pickled green chilies. Will definitely be back!

The food is edible. Thai food? Definitely not. 1. I believe the substituted the Thai basil with sweet basil 2. The wanton is oily and feels like is been deep fried more than once 3. The wanton noodle is too dry unlike Thai wanton noodle Overall. Overrated and avoid at all cost…
