Today’s lunch set B is a lovely pork steak. Succulent, tender & well seasoned. Enjoyed with my favorite creamy pumpkin soup, salad with Japanese dressing, toasty bread spread thickly with butter and my cuppa hot tea! On the main plate, we have pasta, Japanese style potato salad & mixed veg. The dimly lit restaurant gives a cozy, intimate, and private ambience is what I came to enjoy the delicious food & quite conversation. Recommend to try this $14.80 good value set.
View on GoogleSaturday before noon but the restaurant already almost full. We had the table near the dessert fridge. Almost every customer walked pass will hear the man in black guess he is the manager asking the customer any reservation of the cake or tart? Why must ask when the customer didn’t even seated? The foods we ordered taste so so, not as good as before. They used to serve good steak, the steak we ordered not good. Maybe is set lunch. Used to like the foods n ambience but the quality standards drop plus very noisy asking customer to reserve the dessert.
View on GoogleFirst time trying this and we love it! Food is awesome and the atmosphere is chillax. Personally I like the egg rice with pork the most. Wanted to try out chocolate strawberry but it was sold out. The fruitcake was delicious as well. This will be the place that I will come again.
View on GoogleVisited on 22/7 (evening). We ordered the tonkatsu curry and the mentaiko pasta. Initially, we wanted to order the carbonara, but the waiter informed us that it was the dry style rather than the creamy, saucy type. Based on that, we decided to try the mentaiko pasta instead, only to find that it was dry as well. It would have been helpful if this had been mentioned too. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing, and I honestly don’t understand why there are so many good reviews. The restaurant itself has a really nice ambience, but our dining experience started off on the wrong foot. As soon as we entered, the manager (I assume he was the manager) asked if we wanted to reserve dessert before we had even been seated or ordered our food. I had no idea whether we’d even have room for dessert after the meal. For the tonkatsu curry, my partner wanted to add an omelette because the menu photo didn’t show that the dish already came with an egg. The manager informed us there would be an additional charge, which we were perfectly fine with. What wasn’t okay was that he didnt informed us the curry already included an egg. We ended up with two eggs on one dish, which was unnecessary and felt like poor communication. It gave the impression that upselling was prioritised over customer experience. As for the food, the tonkatsu was thick, dry, and tough to chew. The mentaiko pasta tasted overwhelmingly of seaweed and dry. Overall, both dishes were far below expectations. We had been wanting to try Ma Maison for a long time, so this visit was a real disappointment. Sadly, we won’t be returning or recommending it.
View on GoogleWe have ordered the following : - Hamburger steak - Beef Stroganoff butter rice - Sirloin Steak - Onion Soup - Escargots - Cream Puff - Strawberry Tart. All dishes are good and delicious. I recommend Sirloin Steak and strawberry tart. The Steak has some fat and taste super good. I like the Tart crust, it blend well with the strawberries. I have visited this place since 2000s. Really appreciate that this restaurant still maintains its standard. It brings back memories of those days. Thank You !
