Kopi Place at DUO Galleria is a compact and convenient local coffee stall that brings the familiar spirit of Singapore’s traditional kopitiam into a modern city development. Located within the basement retail area of DUO Galleria, it is a useful stop for office workers, residents, hotel guests, and visitors passing through the Bugis and Ophir-Rochor district. The stall has a simple but efficient design. The bold illuminated “KOPI PLACE” signage makes it easy to spot, while the marble-look counter, digital menu boards, and clearly separated order and collection points help organise the small space. It is not a large café, but it works well as a quick stop for kopi, tea, toast, local drinks, and simple comfort food. The display screens also make the menu easy to browse, with both traditional drinks and newer sparkling drink options available. What I like is that it preserves the everyday charm of local coffee culture in a polished mall environment. There is something comforting about being able to get a familiar cup of kopi or tea within such a modern mixed-use development. The stall feels practical, straightforward, and unpretentious — the kind of place where people can quickly grab a drink before work, during a short break, or after a meal nearby. DUO Galleria itself is well connected to Bugis MRT and surrounded by offices, residences, hotels, and restaurants, so Kopi Place fits naturally into the rhythm of the area. It adds a humble and familiar local touch to the otherwise sleek architecture of DUO, reminding us that even in a modern city, the simple pleasure of a good cup of kopi still matters.
View on GoogleI like their Lime Ice Teh O the best. Unlike other places that squeeze the lime (with the seed into the drink), they use a tool to squeeze the lime juice out into the drink. It made the drinking experience great (I dont have to keep spitting the seeds out or accidentally biting the seeds which creates a bitter aftertaste). It's not too sweet by default too. I'll visit again.
View on GoogleGood coffee but the payment and pickup is the worst. You pay and don’t get a receipt. So you don’t know when is your order. The cashier verbally calls out and decides based on his memory if that Kopi is your order. Today, 10 people behind me got their orders, I enquirer twice and was told by cashier it’s not my order (based on his memory). His team then told him my older of Kopi (Siew dai) is not in any order to be made. This resulted in me waiting 15min versus others who pick up within 3min. Order at own risk especially during rush hour. I would have thought the SG govt requires receipts to be given from all businesses
View on GoogleThe staff here are so experienced that they're working like clockwork. Prices are reasonable. Service is good. And there are receipts
View on GoogleThe gula melaka coffee is delicious! Has a very strong coffee flavour, smooth and just the right sweetness. For a hot day, the cold version hits the spot. I got a carrot cake to enjoy, it’s pretty good. Quite dense, feel a bit of oil and flavour is pretty good. You can find them in B3, take two flights of escalator down from L1. The are further down past Dosirak and before the 711. There was only one small table with 3-4 chairs. Better to get takeout. Came at 2:30pm and not busy at all.
