A peaceful place to enjoy Japanese tea away from the usual crowds. Compared to the other Hvala outlets, this one has a much calmer & more relaxing atmosphere. It also offers Butter Town’s signature shio pan & other light bites, a slightly different menu from the rest. A nice spot to unwind with quality tea & a light meal.

Love this Hvala outlet! The space is clean, calm, and thoughtfully designed. I especially like that there are more non-tatami seats here, which makes it much more conducive for doing work. Also appreciated that the temperature was comfortable (not overly cold like some cafés that blast the aircon), so it was easy to sit and stay for a while 😌 I got the iced panda matcha latte ($8.50) and the banana pudding matcha latte ($9). I asked about the matcha and was told they use about 5g per cup, which explains the depth of flavour. Their matcha is great unsweetened - rich, smooth, and nicely umami ❤️ The banana pudding matcha latte was enjoyable too, adding a creamy, dessert-like touch without being too heavy. This outlet is just a 3 min walk from Bugis MRT, making it a convenient spot to drop by for a drink or dessert. I visited on a Monday afternoon and it wasn’t too crowded (about 60–70% full), though I imagine it gets busier on weekends. Do note that service charge and GST are added on top of menu prices.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had such a good matcha experience at Hvala 🍵✨ Ordered the Cold Foam Cereal Milk Matcha Latte and it was SO yummy 😭 The matcha tasted rich and earthy, while the cereal milk added this nostalgic sweetness that paired perfectly with the creamy cold foam. Super smooth and refreshing overall. The cafe had a calm and cozy vibe too, really nice place to take a break from the busy Bugis/Raffles area. Staff were friendly and the drinks felt really well made. Definitely a must-try if you love matcha 🤍

A very relaxing ambience with wonderful service staff who are polite and welcoming. Provided excellent service when first arrived and served with efficiency and perfection Staff recommended Sora Matcha Latte and Matcha Petit to me. Both taste excellent. Matcha taste is rich and set itself on a standard above others.

Tried the Panda Matcha latte. It was so smooth and yummy! 👍🏻 came back to try the Sei matcha - it was amazing and so good. Unbelievably delicious. 🫶🏼
