Loved the Mentai Salmon Sashimi Don and Premium Pork Katsu Don! The homemade mentaiko was rich, creamy and very generous. Fresh ingredients, satisfying portions and great value for money. A hidden gem for mentaiko lovers—will definitely be back!

Was recommended this stall & I ordered the Mentai Pork Katsudon. Impressed with the quality of meat. For the price you pay, you can’t ask for much. However it would make it better if a small bowl of plain miso soup were offered. (No tofu cubes required. Just plain hot miso soup) it would make this or any other meal in the menu much better. I would then offer 5 ⭐️ instead of 4.

Thick cuts of pork and crispy outer coating. Well glazed with consistent levels of mentaiko mayo. The pearly rice, just sticky enough to be picked up by chopsticks, combined with gooey vegetable curry, layered on top with a bite of pork katsu, its the ultimate combination of spice, texture and tenderness. At first its saltiness, the umami from the mentaiko hits the top of your mouth, then you feel the crisp of panko breadcrumbs, then comes the juiciness of the pork and the tenderness of the meat. To top it all, you add the soft rice and warm curry. After swallowing, you take a small piece of the marinated red raddish, sourness… it cleanses the palette, and the oiliness in your throat, bringing you to the next bite. Please open your next store near the east (preferably Tampines) ❤️

The salmon was incredibly fresh, and the portions were very generous, making it great value for money. This is the kind of quality you would usually expect from a restaurant, but now you can enjoy it at hawker prices! What a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back for more.

Ordered Mentai Pork Katsu curry for $10.90. cdc friendly Mentaiko: godly Pork katssu: good Curry: average Rice: average Amount for money: good I am never a big fan of mentaiko until i tried this. This is so rich in umami flavor that i was dare say that i like mentaiko sadly this also means that what are other places doing with their mentaiko. The sauce truely the standard to hit in Singapore... Although it is probably not a thing in japan. Pork katsu is really not the most tender but never the less still crispy. I would say it is great but since i already sperate out the mentaiko which is hard carrying the pork... And of course can't taste that much of the natural pork sweetness due to mentaiko. Maybe need to get premium. Curry was average Japanese curry which itself should land it a good but for whateger reason it became hair raisingly sweet towards the final 30%. Taste spiked due to mentaiko? I am not sure but it wasn't pleasant. Rice wise it is typical japanese rice. But they could really make it less damp since it is getting coated with curry. Amount for money wise while it cost $11 the large piece lf katsu plus the amount of mentaiko make it reasonable. While i would like to get none curry version the next time due to the overly sweet taste i am not sure how the moist rice will stand alone.
