I went with two friends for lunch on a weekday. My friends work in a hotel and often are asked to make referrals for restaurants. This one is apparently one of their top choices. We started with the obligatory Italian bread and extra virgin olive oil. We ordered 3 set lunches, including the pan-fried salmon . We had the green asparagus soup with smoked burrata and the anitpasto. For dessert we had a scoop of the lemon sorbet gelato as well as two other desserts. All of the food was delicious. The green asparagus soup was particularly good. Even though the facility has a large selection of wines, we did not order any alcoholic beverages. The service was good. Prices are relatively high.

Expensive - this is a splurge restaurant. Food is all good though. Portions on the mains are ok. Appetisers were well sized. Desserts are too small! But very pretty, and tasty. Hospitality is good in some ways: eg complimentary dishes, splitting of appetizers that we shared into separate plates. The specials are good - very adventurous too. Those might be the best choices actually. (Though I suppose it varies from time to time.) Cocktails average, and expensive, do not recommend. I guess drinks-wise people come here to splurge on wine - there’s an iPad worth of choices.

What else needs to be said about this longstanding Italian establishment? Not so much the fancy stuff here but classics done well. Wagyu cheek ragout pappardelle was great with the meat so tender and flavourful. Bread is fluffy with edges crisp. Yes there are many Italian restaurants here now and you may find something innovative or better value elsewhere but Garibaldi has retained its charm. Helps to have a nice wine cellar with Barolos older than many patrons.

This is the second time in the restaurant. I love the beef ragout, pasta was al-dente and sauce is well wined, beef is melt in the mouth. Chicken pomodoro is also very well made. Consistent thickness in the batter and meat, with the salad and sauce side it’s not too dry. I prefer the before Reno ambience.. though noisy it has a homely feel. The ambience now offers more privacy for individual diners.

I recently had an exceptional dining experience at Garibaldi Italian Restaurant. The service provided by Kun and Nove was outstanding—truly worthy of a 5-star rating. We began our meal with the complimentary focaccia bread, which was wonderfully crusty on the outside yet incredibly soft inside (I couldn’t resist having two!). The breadsticks were equally addictive—once you start, you simply can't stop! Following this, we enjoyed fresh oysters that were remarkably tender and rich in flavor. Next, we savored the bacon salad with asparagus and Parma ham, topped with burrata cheese—an absolutely exquisite dish that left us wanting more; every plate was cleaned! For our main courses, we indulged in a perfectly cooked medium-rare steak and a seafood carbonara generously adorned with scallops and uni. The pasta was cooked to an ideal al dente texture, and the sauce was beautifully balanced. Dessert was the highlight of the evening! We indulged in a refreshing fruity cheesecake and the best-ever tiramisu, both authentically crafted. To our delight, we were surprised with a complimentary chocolate birthday cake—a thoughtful touch that added to the celebration. The ambience at Garibaldi is charming, nestled in a hidden corner of Singapore. One suggestion would be to encourage a more elevated dress code for diners, as some casual attire slightly detracted from the overall atmosphere. In summary, my experience at Garibaldi was truly remarkable, thanks to the fantastic team and their culinary excellence. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to all my friends and look forward to returning!
