I first discovered this place after receiving a $20 voucher from attending DBS Annual General Meeting. Not wanting to let the voucher go to waste, I brought my daughter along to try out the food, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise! Everything we ordered was delicious. I had the Black Pepper Chicken, which was incredibly juicy and flavorful. It came with two sides—the potato salad and vegetables—both of which were very tasty. My daughter went for the Crispy Chicken paired with baked potato and mac & cheese, and she absolutely loved it. It was the perfect spot for us to enjoy some quality time together. Beyond the food, the service was great—very efficient and the staff were polite throughout our meal. We had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back! Recommended dishes: Black Pepper Chicken, Crispy Chicken, Mac & Cheese

I recently visited Eighteen Chefs, and the experience was great. The food was served piping hot and was really delicious. Upon arrival, the staff promptly guided us to our table and clearly explained the ongoing promotions, which was a nice touch. The food was served within a reasonable time, and everything came out fresh. It’s also a halal-certified restaurant, making it suitable for Muslims as well as people of all backgrounds to enjoy. The place is spacious enough for both large families and couples, making it quite versatile. Located in the Bugis district, the prices are also very affordable for the quality and portion sizes. Definitely worth a visit—come and try it with your family or friends!

I recently dined at 18Chefs and found the overall experience rather disappointing, mainly due to the atmosphere rather than the food itself. The restaurant was extremely noisy during my visit. A large group of students nearby were talking and shouting loudly for a prolonged period, and the noise level made it difficult to have a normal conversation. Unfortunately, the staff did not seem to intervene or manage the situation, which made the environment feel chaotic and stressful rather than enjoyable. Seating was another issue. The tables were arranged very closely, and we were seated side by side with strangers, leaving little personal space. It felt cramped and uncomfortable, especially when the restaurant was full. The lack of space and high noise level together made the dining experience feel rushed and tiring. As for the food, I ordered the salted egg pasta with a meal, a crispy chicken set, and popcorn chicken as a side. The taste was decent and generally met expectations for a casual dining chain. The salted egg sauce was reasonably flavourful, and the fried chicken was crispy, though nothing particularly memorable. Portion sizes were acceptable, but prices seemed noticeably higher compared to what I remember from previous visits, making the value feel less appealing. Overall, while the food was passable, the noisy atmosphere, crowded seating, and rising prices made the dining experience less enjoyable than expected. I would consider visiting again only during off-peak hours when the environment might be calmer and more comfortable.

As an NSF, I’ve always found many NSF food discounts a bit disappointing since most places only offer them from Monday to Friday. That’s why I was really impressed by Eighteen Chefs as they continue their value meals even beyond Fridays, which honestly makes a huge difference for NSFs and students with irregular schedules. For me, I really enjoyed the carbonara, and the unlimited free-flow drinks were a great bonus as well. Not forgetting the really helpful staff who aided to our needs! The overall experience felt very worth it, especially considering the affordability and generous promotions. I’d definitely recommend students and fellow NSFs to check this place out for a good and budget-friendly meal.

I’ve visited a few times and overall the food can be pretty good, but the experience has been quite inconsistent, especially when it comes to portion sizes and overall standards. On good days, the dishes are flavourful and satisfying, with well-balanced seasoning and good execution. However, on other visits, the same items can feel noticeably different either lacking in flavour, not as well prepared, or just not as enjoyable. This inconsistency makes it hard to know what to expect each time. Portion sizes are another issue. They seem to vary quite a bit between visits, with some servings feeling generous while others are noticeably smaller, even when ordering the same dish. It gives the impression that there isn’t much standardisation in how portions are handled. Overall, the food itself has potential and can be genuinely enjoyable, but the inconsistency in both quality and portion sizes takes away from the experience. Hoping to see more consistency in both areas moving forward.
