New home on North Bridge Road Dakotea has since closed its Taste @Orchard counter and resurfaced at the North Bridge Road crossroad by Bugis Junction—and it’s come back leveled up. The signage now carries a dual identity, DAKOTEA and 麒麟大口茶 (Da Kou Cha), and gone is the old takeaway-only setup; there’s proper seating now, so you can actually sit and savour rather than rush off with your cup. The menu’s grown up too. What used to be a tea-and-pastry counter has branched into full small bites territory—unadon, shrimp and scallion oil noodles, dumplings by the dozen—alongside a fresh dessert lineup that leans into what people usually crave for afterwards: cheesecake, cream brûlée, herbal jelly, tremella and peach gum soup. It’s a smart expansion that turns a quick tea stop into a proper sit-down affair. I went with the Black Pearl Milk Tea this round, and it stayed true to what made the original so good—that same rich, never-watered-down depth. The pearls carry a lovely natural brown sugar taste, though it does lean slightly on the sweeter side, and they were a touch softer than I’d like—wouldn’t mind more chew to them. Glad to see this one’s still going strong, just in a bigger, better form.

Excellent glutinous rice lemon tea. I like their biscuits too. Glad they found a new shop after taste orchard, been a fan since then.

Went in for a drink at about 9.40pm, the staff, Yi Hao, was very friendly and professional. He passionately introduced the drinks and snack to us and told us that we can sit there and enjoy our drink until he finish cleaning up. Top notch customer service, grass jelly tea and pastries were nice and beautiful ambience!

Saw this brand in Yunnan and never expect to see this again in Singapore. Ordered the signature lemon glutinous tea and was quite blown away by the taste. The lemon was not too sour and added a really refreshing taste to the drink. The tea has this really subtle glutinous rice taste, which made the drink really unique. Overall it’s really refreshing and thirst quenching - great for Singapore’s weather!
