Overall, the desserts tasted decent. They were not overly sweet, especially the mini trio set (black glutinous rice, muah chee, and mango sago pomelo) that we had. As for the shaved ice bowl, it was decent, but the yam balls were way too hard and had no chewiness at all, which left us no choice but to leave them in the bowl. During peak periods, the place can be full, so you might need to queue and wait for a table. The table you get may also be quite cramped if you're dining in with more than three people.
View on GoogleIt was the most satisfying dessert restaurant I visited in Singapore. The first durian shaved ice I had was truly impressive with its rich flavor unique to durian. I was worried the scent would be strong, but it turned out to be softer and creamier than I expected, making it worth trying even for those new to durian. The combination of coconut jelly and tapioca offered a variety of textures, and the finely ground ice allowed for a smooth and smooth finish. The second one I had, **Mango Sago**, was a harmonious blend of sweet mango, smooth ice cream, and bouncy Sago. It was a dessert that was not too sweet but cool and clean, making it a perfect fit for the hot Singapore weather. The price was not too burdensome based on tourist attractions, and the portion was enough for two people to share. The store was clean and had a great atmosphere, making it ideal for taking a break during travel. If you want to try local desserts in Singapore, it's a place worth visiting. If you like durian, I recommend making durian shaved ice, and if you're new to it, I recommend starting with mango shaved ice. Humans become brave when they travel, thinking, "I must eat local food," and this time, that courage was quite a successful choice.
View on GoogleGreat spot for Chinese desserts! The desserts were fresh, not overly sweet, and tasted authentic. The service was friendly, and the place was clean and cozy. They also have "probably the best waffle" I've had! Would definitely come back again!
View on GoogleBlack sesame paste was thick and had a decent flavor, though it was a bit too sweet. Mango sago grass jelly with taro balls was acceptable, but the taro balls were slightly firm and could be softer. Overall, the price point feels a bit high for the quality of the desserts.
View on GoogleThis place offers traditional as well as unconventional desserts. The menu includes Collagen boosting dessert items. Apart from desserts, one can also enjoy Dim-Sum snack items here. We decided to go for the perennial favourite - Ice Kachang to use as a benchmark for this dessert place. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The only best part was the ice-shaving which was very fine. The biggest let down was a the conveniently thrown together syrup (that are also used for the other desserts). There was an overpowering use of Gula Melaka and on top of that condensed milk. The other syrup was a weird sour strawberry flavoured syrup which didn’t go well. Ice-Kachang typically uses rose syrup and not strawberry. And where is the green syrup to make it a happy colourful bowl of delight?? It is a place that tries to please everyone and hopefully it does please someone and not no one.
